Jax and I were sitting down at the kitchen table, with my brother sitting a crossed from us. My arms were crossed, but I could feel my hands becoming sweaty.
"So, what is it that you have to tell me?" Brandon finally spoke after a few moments of silence. Jax was about to speak, but I quickly spoke up instead.
"I think we should let Jax live with us." I blurted out, Jax gave me a confused look. We were going to talk to my brother about us, but I was more worried about him living on the beach.
"You told her?" Brandon looked at Jax as he nodded. "That conversation was between us, bro."
"I know, it just came out when I was baked. I'm sorry." Jax apologized.
"It's fine, but if you are going to live here, no funny business." Brandon looked at me. "No relationships, no kissing, no sex, nothing. Those are the conditions."
"Okay, but what if, in the future, things change?" I asked.
"Things changed? No, maybe when you have your own place, but I am supporting you and taking care of you as long as you are under my roof. No offense, but Jax is a player and breaks a lot of girls hearts. I'm not going to allow my little sister to be hurt again."
Brandon paused. "Look, Jax, that room is all yours, but I don't want anything going on between you and my sister. The only other thing I ask is that you help me out with rent and stuff."
"I can do that, but can I bring over any girls? You know, rather than me trying to go after your little sister." Jax said. It hurt, but he has a place to stay now. Jax and I need to talk.
"Whatever, doesn't bother me. I'll make you a copy of the key tomorrow. Just use Maddie's until then." Brandon got up and left the kitchen. I got up too and walked out front to sit on the porch swing.
What the hell did I just do? I laid my head in my knees. Good job, Maddie. Now it will be next to impossible to stop falling in love with him. The fact that he is going to bring other girls into this house, is going to make everything worst.
Jax ended coming outside and sitting on the swing next to me. "You didn't need to do that." He said. I lifted my head up and looked at him. "Is this where we stand?"
"It's where we have to stand. I didn't want you to sleep another night on the beach and if we can't be together, its okay." I said, I really wanted to cry, but I kept it in. "Whatever we had, it's done."
"Done?" He said. "We will see about that." Jax smirked.
"No, we won't. We have to move on. You do you, and I'll do me." I said, getting up and locking myself in my room. The only best part of sleeping in my bed, was that my covers had Jaxs' scent on them.

"Your brother is the sweetest!" Vicki said as we were walking to class. "He picked me up and handed me flowers, then we went out to dinner and had a make out session and then..."
"Stop, I don't want to hear anything more about my brother. I'm glad that you get to have the guy that you want." I sighed as we sat down in our seats.
"Let me talk to Brandon, maybe I can change his mind about it."
"Just leave it alone, I just have to forget about him." I said, leaning my head in my hand. "I just need to get over him." I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and faced Danny.
"Madison, I was wondering if I could take you to prom on Saturday?" Danny asked. I had totally forgot that prom was this weekend, but me being a nerd, I never really got invited or went to this events. I knew Vicki really wanted to go this year.
