Jax and I sat, together at the table and waited until my brother got up. I was really nervous for doing this, asking if it was okay to date Jax. My hands were sweating. I didn't know how I was going to bring it up. Maybe we should wait until later? Or until he has a cup of coffee.
Finally, my brother walked into the kitchen groaning, he must be hungover, not as bad as us, but almost. I took a sip of my coffee, just waiting for him to sit down.
"Hungover?" Jax asked, thank god he said something. Maybe Jax can just ask. Brandon scowled at Jax and sat down with his black cup of coffee. "Well, then, we will wait to ask you later, then." Way to be blunt Jax.
"Ask what?" Brandon said looking at both of us, Jax grabbed my hand and then took a deep breathe.
"I'm just going to come straight out as just say it. I want to date your sister." Brandon sip out his coffee onto the table. I got up and grabbed a towel to clean it up.
"You WHAT?" Brandon glared at Jax. "This is too early in the morning." Rubbing his fingers on his forehead and then grabbing his coffee. "Maddie, can you leave the room, I'd like to talk to Jax." I then nodded and went outside on the front porch.
~Jax's POV~
As soon as Maddie left, I was in for it now. Brandon and I have been friends since the beginning of high school. He knows how I am with women. I flirt, get them into bed, and then never talk to them again. Maddie was different, though.
Every girl in high school threw herself at my feet, expect her. She's one of a kind. I loved her. Loved everything about her.
"Why?" Brandon asked as he stood up. "Why can't you just leave her alone, before you break her heart, again."
"It's different this time. She's made me change." Jax paused. "I caught her smoking pot at where I usually do and from that moment, I stopped having sex, but she thought I was using her, so I starting having sex with whoever."
"So, what you are saying is that you were thinking of my sister, while having sex with different girls. That's nice." Brandon looked pissed, but that's how he has always known me to be. I was different now.
"No, I'm saying that I tried to get over your sister by sleeping with other girls, but no one was as special as your sister." I tried to explain to him, but I don't think he was understanding. "Look, I know I have been a player, but I don't want to be with anyone else, only Maddie. Will you be okay about us?"
Brandon paced back and forth. "No. She needs to focus on college and finding a guy who isn't a player. You ruined it with Danny for her. Until otherwise, I don't want you around my sister. I'm gonna go tell her now." Brandon left and went out onto the porch, were I saw him tell Maddie the answer.
She looked at me through the window, a tear fell from her cheek. I was pissed, but at the same time, Brandon is just trying to protect his sister. Even though, he told us no to date, I made me want to disobey my best friends' answer.
I created my reputation, I have to live with it now. Maddie came back into the house looking up at me. Her eyes red from crying. "That's his answer. We have to live with it. So, just leave me alone and pretend that everything that happened was a mistake." She said, it hurt me to see her cry, but that hurt me more.
"No, we don't, Maddie. We can still see each other when your brother isn't looking. It will be fine." I said, trying to make her smile, but it didn't.
"Brandon's right, I need to focus on what I want to do in life. My life was planned out for me and you helped me figure out some of it, but I want to find myself and figure out what I want to do, before I get into a relationship. Please don't make it any harder than it needs to be." She said before walking back into her room.
Whatever she wants to do, I'll go along with her, but she's still my princess.
~Maddie's POV~
Brandon was right, focus on college and figure out what I want to do in life, before I jump into another relationship. I sat in my room, looking on my laptop, trying to figure out what would interest me. I ended up applying to community college.
Since I wanted the college experience, I ended up getting a single dorm room. Brandon thought it would be easier to forget about each other if I lived on campus. I think it would be good for Jax and I to be apart, but I'll have the entire summer with him.
This should be fun.

Brandon had a week off, since he now was able to work full-time. He decided that we should rent out that beach cottage that we did on spring break. He invited a few more people. I was afraid of who he would invite.
I sat in the same room I was in last time. Nothing about it really changed. Brandon didn't want me and Jax to share a room, so Jax was downstairs and I was upstairs. He made it very clear to both of us to just stay away from each other and just have fun.
Vicki and I put our bathing suits on and went to go tan on the beach. I haven't talk to her much, since I have been trying to find a job on campus so that I can at least pay off some of my college.
"Are you sure you are okay? You seem, not yourself." Vicki said as I looked up at her. "Never mind, I got it. You miss him, don't you?"
"Of course I do, but Brandon's right about me focusing on college. For once in my life, I'm able to choice what I want to do with my future, but I want Jax in that future also." I said laying down on my stomach.
"I have a secret to tell you." she said, smirking. "Brandon invited Danny." My face changed, he did what?
"Why?"
"He liked Danny and I did, at one point, but I'm still all for you and Jax." Vicki said, which made me smiled. "He wanted to see if Danny would give you another shot, but I know deep down, Jax made you more happier than Danny."
"What are you girls talking about? I heard my name." Jax said, standing in front of us as he was in his bathing suit and looking sexier than ever. I just wanted to take him up to my room and have my way with him. I didn't notice that I was biting my lip, but Jax did. "You like what you see, Princess?" He smirked.
"N-no. Can you please just go? We are having girl talk." I snapped at him. He grinned.
"Alright, I'll let you girls chat on how good in bed I am." He walked away with the biggest smile on his face. My face turned red.
"Your face wouldn't turn that red if he wasn't as good as he's saying." Vicki laughed as I sat up and smacked her arm.
"Shut up." I said. "You need anything? I'm gonna go get some water."
"Water is fine." She said as I got up and walked back into the house. I grabbed the water bottles from the fridge and as soon as I was about to go back out. Danny was standing in the doorway, holding hands with Savannah.
Well, this week is going to be a roller coaster of fun. I hope that we have enough alcohol tonight. I plan on getting white girl wasted.
