When I got home, I locked the door and sat on my couch. I grabbed a photo album that I had kept all my pictures from high school and college. I opened it to the last page that I had with photos. I hadn't had a photo in here since losing the baby.
The last photo was the ultrasound, when I found out I was pregnant with Jax and I's baby. I started to cry. My mind flashed back to when I found out I was going to be a mom.
Flashback to 4 years ago.
I looked down at that positive pregnancy test. "You have got to be kidding." I looked down at the other 5 I had taken. All positive. What was I going to do? I haven't heard from Jax in almost a month. How was I going to tell him?
I grabbed all the tests and threw them out, then I threw out the bathroom trash. I wanted to make sure no one knew. Hell, I didn't even want to tell Jax, but he was the father and needed to know.
I grabbed my phone and text him: 'Call me, please. I need you...'
I was hoping that he was going to call me, but nothing. I don't even know what I did wrong. The last time we talked, was on the phone. After that, I never heard back from him again. Brandon hasn't heard from him either. I was scared that I would have to raise this baby on my own.
I walked into my room and dialed a number, that I didn't want to dial.
"Rosewood General OBGYN, how can I help you?" The woman said.
"Yes, I took multiple pregnancy tests that came out positive. I want to know if I could come in and confirm that I am really pregnant?" I said, my hands were shaking. In my head, I was wishing that this was just a dream that I would wake up and everything would be fine.
"Of course. We will also schedule you an ultrasound as well, so we know how far along you are." An ultrasound? I thought to myself. Could I really be able to do in by myself for an ultrasound?

After the phone call, I did some more of my college work. I heard a knock on my door. "Come in." I said, finishing up a essay I was writing.
"Hey, you busy?" Vicki asked as she closed the door behind her. "I need to ask you something." My heart started to beat faster. Did she know about the baby? I stopped what I was doing and nodded to her.
"Are you," she paused and took a deep breath. "Pregnant?" Tears started to form in my eyes.
"How did you know?" I asked as she hugged me. Not saying anything, just kept hugging me. It felt like a hour, before she pulled away.
"I saw the box that you left hanging around. I threw it away before Brandon saw it and thought that it was me." She said, holding my hands. "Have you told him?" I shook my head no.
"He hasn't answered any of my calls or texts. I don't know what to do, Vicki."
"Are you sure you're pregnant?" She asked.
"I'm going tomorrow to make sure." I paused. "They are also going to do an ultrasound to find out how far along I am."
I think Vicki knew how nervous I was because she hugged me. "Do you want me to come with you? I don't have to, but I don't want you to do this alone."
"If you don't mind."
"I don't mind! You would do the same thing for me." Vicki said smiling. I was glad that someone was coming with me. I was scared to know the truth that I was really becoming a mom or relieved to know that I wasn't going to have a baby in 9 months.
