It has been days since that magical night that I broke all my rules.
I have not heard from him; not an text, email or even a call.

I felt rejected and I started questioning myself; what did I do wrong?

Today, I'm covering Jessicas clinic, lucky bitch transferred out of the ER but still made a few rounds.
It was a different change and setting,I saw patients with minor acute issues and follow-ups on hospital visits.

This clinical setting is what Ive ever wanted, I was tired of graveyard shifts in the E.R. I had filled out applications to transfer out but I kept getting denied.
Emma and Joy didn't know yet about my plan in leaving Texas it was going to happen a lot sooner than I imagine. They always knew I wanted to move but never into details.

There is a big smile on my face which rarely happened; even working with a dumb medical assistant who did not know how to take proper blood pressure, did not seem to faze me out of my sex fuse brain.

Last week I would have had her fired and I wouldn't bat an eye.

Lunch was hard to eat, all I can think about was him. Those green eyes and a devilish smirk on his face haunts my dreams at night. That night was on rerun in my mind, over and over again.

"Doctor De Campo?" Someone calls me out as I was lost in my thoughts.
"yes?"

Gloria,my medical assistant for the day
begs me to see her mom.
Her eyes were in tears when she told me her story. I kept stating her urgency to get admitting to the ER; she would just start crying stating her mother would never go.
I finally agree in two conditions; one for her to learn how to properly take blood pressure and second to trust my judgment. If I saw her, and said the word 'Hospital' she must do what I say with no questions and no excuses.

She got excited jumping nodding 'yes.'
Then she said the ambulance is going to bring her in since she's bedridden.

I nodded in agreement and wave for her to leave.
I was pretty much done with patients; all I had to do is chart.

It was two o'clock, Gloria's mother came in with the ambulance.
That's when I got slap in the face.

It was HIM pushing her stretcher into an exam room. I wanted to quickly move but it was too late he saw me.
I did not know what to do, my legs just froze on the spot as he got closer and closer.

"Doctor De Campo, Are you ok?" Gloria asks as I try to look over at her but I was lost in his eyes.

"Huh? I mean Yes, Gloria. I'm fine. I'll be in there in a minute."

"Doctor? I knew you weren't an Insurance agent, Dolcezza"

When he spoke my world game crushing down but worse part was my body yearn for he's touch.
