Chpt. 22: When You Hear Him Sing A Song By Imogen Heap

A/N: If you don't know Imogen Heap, I'll briefly explain about her. She's an English artist/songwriter who's most famous for her participation in the duo "Frou Frou", who's song "Holding Out For A Hero" portrayed in "Shrek 2".

-Slenderman:

You awoken from your short nap in your bedroom, hearing the faint sound of singing coming from downstairs. Rising from your bed, you quietly yawned as you stepped down each and every step. The singing had gotten louder when you reached the final step. Noticing it was just Slender, you heard him begin to sing the chorus of "Xizi She Knows" by Imogen Heap.

" (Slow down), from a thread of sky,
(Slow down), to the warp and weft of your being,
(Slow down), dynamic and playful, you opened my eyes, yeah,
You're pretty damned good as you are.

(Slow down), friend of mine,
(Slow down), could you go for progression not pace,
(Slow down), as you unravel your marvels,
Don't lose them all on the way."

"You sing beautifully," you whispered, startling Slender as you applauded loudly near him.

"Oh, uh, thanks (Y/N)," he stuttered, a faded pink creeping on his face.

-Jeff the Killer:

You waited patiently near the microwave oven, smiling to yourself when you heard the familiar popping from the bag of popcorn. Jeff quietly hummed in front of the living room television, but soon his hums converted into a beautiful chorus hymn from "Just For Now" by Imogen Heap.

"It's that time of year,
Leave all your hopelessness's aside,
If it's just a little while.

Tears stop right now,
I know we've all had a bumpy ride,
I'm secretly on your side."

The sound of the buzzer on the microwave snapped you out of Jeff's hypnotic voice as you swiftly grabbed the piping hot bag of popcorn and joined Jeff in the living room.

-Eyeless Jack:

You laid half-awake next to a silent EJ on your soft bed. Your (Eye Color) eyes slowly drooped, signaling that you're close to slumber. That is, until EJ began to quietly sing "The Walk" by Imogen Heap.

"It's not meant to be like this, not what I planned at all,
I don't want to feel like this, (Yeah),

No it's not meant to be like this, not what I planned at all,
I don't want to feel like this, so that makes it all your fault,"

Sleep unintentionally took over you from EJ's lovely melody, causing your eyes to slam shut.

-Laughing Jack:

You and LJ strolled down the empty abandoned carnival, hands entwined and goofy smiles planted on your faces. The silence didn't faze you, but soon LJ began singing "Angry Angel" by Imogen Heap.

"Over there stands my angry angel,
And he's shaking his head, in disgrace with me.
Yeah, over there stands my angry angel,
And he's frowning like hell, but I'm not feeling guilty,"

You flashed a warm smile and he returned the gesture.

"No one has ever heard me sing before, (Y/N)," LJ admitted.

"Aww, I feel special," you replied, but your words were slightly murmured when LJ's soft lips pressed onto yours.

-BEN Drowned:

You and BEN were playing Super Mario Bros. U on your Wii U, having a fun time. You noticed BEN's hums of "Goodnight and Go" by Imogen Heap convert into him singing the chorus in a flash.

"Why d'ya have to be so cute?
It's impossible to ignore you,
Must you make me laugh so much?
It's bad enough that we get along so well.
Say goodnight and go."

You paused the game in order to applaud BEN's talent, to which made him blush slightly.

"I-I'm not that good, you know," he muttered, turning his attention to a slice of hot pepperoni pizza.

"That good? You're an amazing singer!" you practically shrieked, almost dropping your own pizza slice.

"Don't tell anyone," BEN whispered, completely embarrassed on his actions.
