Day One

Day 1

-----

Don't wake me u-u-up...

And that was the irony of my alarm.

I really didn't know which kind of song to have used and 'Don't wake me up' by Chris Brown seemed to have been the first to catch my attention.

I reached for my phone on my bedside for me to have realized that my bedside wasn't where it usually should be.

I sat straight immediately then remembered that I wasn't home then I sighed.

So, I ended up wearing an over-sized Detroit shirt to sleep.

Mine was grey and black.

I hugged the blanket to my body as I searched for my phone to shut the stupid alarm which had been booming.

When I did, I got up and decided to take a bath.

I picked out a brown blouse and skinnies to go with it.

It would be best if I caught the bus.

The earlier, the better.

I had school and the drama club to attend to.

I stepped out in the Detroit shirt, feeling very conscious because of the length.

When I passed the living room, I saw Jess and Frank sleeping on the floor like they had slept off while watching a movie.

She used his chest as a pillow while he slept with his arms astray.

I climbed up the stairs and was about to knock on the bathroom door but it opened.

Dennis was the one who was in it.

His hair was damp and ruffled like he had tried using his towel to dry it. He had no shirt on. And... He was staring at me.

He didn't hide the fact that his eyes went down to my legs before focusing on my own eyes.

I blushed like crazy.

"Hey... Umm... Morning." I managed to ramble.

He smiled. "Morning. How was your night?"

I nodded and smiled, too. "It was awesome."

"Mine, too." He said. He unconsciously looked me over again before hesitating. "Umm... I'll be..."

I nodded before he even completed his statement. It was too early in the morning to blush over a boy.

Even if I didn't say anything - and he, too - he nodded. "Umm... alright."

There was reluctance in his movement before he finally left and entered into a room.

I watched his retrieving figure and something slapped me hard in my head.

I was starting to like him.

And not just the 'Hey, let's be friends,' kind of like. I meant the 'Oh my God! He makes me blush and feel so nervous that my palms get sweaty and I feel all giddy that I even get lost of words...' kind of like.

Even though that was the most awkward conversation I had ever had with a guy, I found myself smile-blushing up to the extent that I even had to purse my lips in my mouth to control it as I stared at his shut door.
