97. Truth

It's me again God,

Thank You again for the things You revealed to me as I read through the book of Ephesians. The letter that Paul wrote ended on such a strong note that I sense You would like me to focus on the armour a little longer.

Today I want to examine the Belt of Truth in more detail. Please guide me to verses which tell me more about this important, foundational part of my armour.

Jesus prayed for His disciples:
"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." John‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John‬ ‭8:32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth." 2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth." 1 John‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." 1 John‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."
‭‭John‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.""
‭‭John‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." Psalm‬ ‭145:18‬‭ NIV‬‬

"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." Psalm‬ ‭25:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." 2 Timothy‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I praise You Lord for You have given me the Bible, which is 100% truth! No lie can come from it! I pray that as I read, I would correctly handle Your Word of truth. The enemy is the father of lies, I choose to only listen to the truth.

Thank You Jesus for being the Way and the Truth and the Life. You revealed so many truths in Your three years of ministry here on earth. Thank You that I can call on You in truth at any time and know that You will guide me in Your truth.

Lord I choose to worship You in the Spirit and in truth, to love with actions and in truth and to only rejoice in the truth. I pray that You would continue to reveal Your truth to me and remind me of it throughout the day, so I am always prepared for battle against the enemy who seeks to destroy. I pray that the same truth that set me free from the bondage of sin, may be on my lips to tell others.

Thank You for reminding me right now of some of the wonderful promises in Your Word that I know are truth: You love me, You are for me, You are not against me, You knit me together in my mother's womb, You chose me before the beginning of the world to be Your own! You sent Your own Son into the world to die for me so my sins could be forgiven, You raised Him from the dead, conquering death and the enemy once and for all and ensuring that I would also be raised to eternal life with You! You gave me Your Holy Spirit to live in me always and guide me! You have removed my sins from me as far as the east is from the west, you don't even remember them anymore! You are preparing a home for me in Heaven where I will dwell with You forever! You are with me always, even to the end of the earth!

Thank You that ALL Your promises are YES and AMEN in Christ Jesus!
