It's me again God,
I am excited to begin my time with You knowing that despite the fact that thousands, perhaps millions of other people are speaking with You right now, You hear me and You are delighted to spend this time with me! You are such an amazing God! You don't need to put me on hold because You are too busy and I can come to You at anytime of the day or night. In fact, You want me to 'make my life a prayer'!
"Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God's perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus."

It's like You don't want me to hang up but keep the conversation going! I am so happy that I can do this but I am probably better at asking for help than giving thanks! You give me every good thing and today I am determined to give thanks in the midst of everything, not waiting for resolutions to problems before I do. This is Your perfect plan for me. You sent Your Son Jesus so I could have this special relationship with You. His death and resurrection, make our conversation possible!

I love how this version of the verse talks about praise being a password! Your gates are always open and somehow, coming to You in an attitude of praise is a great way to quickly come into Your presence! You know our needs but You love us to come and ask You. Thank You that when I come to You I know You are the God who provides —You are Jehovah Jireh. I can have every confidence that out of Your fullness, You will give!
