Quick A/N, I'm a dude. So. Don't call me a chick or I will get pretty ticked and delete your comment, since that's a thing I'm doing now cuz nobody can be respectful anymore. Also, I can't remember if there's pictures of me in this book but if there is, don't be a dick. Alright. That's all, continue reading.

John Pov
I sleepily opened my eyes.
"Laurens! Wake up!" A guard shouted.

I sat up slowly, wiping my eyes. "What?!" I half shouted, my voice groggy.

"Cell mate!" He shouted back, pushing a boy in the cell with me.

"Oh. Right.
That."
I muttered.

A few people had talked to me about getting a cell mate but I forgot when. Guess it's today.

The guard locked the cell door behind him and waved goodbye.
I waved back.

Sure, it may be jail but I've made some good strong relationships.
That happens when your here on a life sentence.

I pushed the blankets off of me and stood up holding my hand out.

"John Laurens. And you?" I asked.

He put his shaking hand out and said, "A-Alexander Hamilton."

I shook his hand and sat back down on the bed.

"What'd you do to land yourself in this hellhole?" I asked, looking around the cell.

He didn't say anything, he just nervously fidgeted with his hands. "..hello?" I asked, resting my elbows on my knees, and holding my head in my hands.

"I..would r-rather not talk about it."
He muttered after a moment.

"Fair enough. I was the same way when I first arrived." I told him.

"What'd you do?" He asked.

"Kid, I ain't telling you shit. Not until you tell me a little bit. I know your name. Only your name," I said.

"I-I...it's just all..surreal for me Okay? I just got here. Lay off me."
He snapped.

"Alright, Alright." I muttered, putting my hands up.

"Just going to tell you now, first day is that hardest kid." I told him.

"I ain't a kid." He said.

I looked up him up and down.
"You's a kid." I said after a minute.

"Fuck you." He hissed.

I jumped up, grabbed his collar and slammed him onto the wall.

"What'd the fuck you say?" I growled. He looked dazed.
He's obviously not used to this kind of treatment.
What the heck did this kid do?

"O-ow." He whispered. I scoffed and
walked back to the bed.

"Damn right," I muttered.
"How old are you kid?" I asked, sitting down.

"I-I'm not a kid."
He coughed.

"Did I knock the wind out of you or some shit?" I asked.

"A little." He said, leaning over to grab his knees, continuing to cough.

"That's on you, my man." I said, lying down.

He slowly slid to the floor.

"Two things. Number one; Is everyone in prison an asshole, or is that just you? Number two; Why is there no privacy with the washroom?" He asked.

"Answer to your first question, you haven't even met the assholes yet. Answer to question two, it's prison. What do you expect. I'm not gonna try to look at your dick or some shit.
Calm your tits." I replied.

I glanced at him. He was staring at the toilet with a revolted, yet blank look on his face.

I snorted and looked back up to the bottom of the top bunk.

"That's disgusting." He said, standing up slowly.

"It's.
Prison.
Here, you're more an animal then a person." I told him.

He sighed and looked at the floor shaking his head.

"I hate it."
"Nobody cares."
"I do."
"You're a nobody."

He gasped slightly and put a hand to his chest.

"My...my feelings," He said sadly.
I scoffed.

"How sad funny boy." I muttered.

"You haven't said my name once. Only nicknames. Is my name that bad? I mean be honest." He said.

"Sorry...Alexander." I said, an eyebrow raised.

"T-thank you." He said, a soft smile on his face.

I gave him a short nod and closed my eyes. I expected to hear his footsteps go up to the top bunk but..
they didn't.

I furrowed my eyebrows and opened my eyes. He was just kind of looking around the cell and then looked back to me.

He sort of stared at me.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked, sitting up.

"N-nothing! Sorry!" He exclaimed, putting his hands up then wiping them on the pants of his light blue jumpsuit.

"What? Are you..like..gay or something?!" I exclaimed, jumping out of bed.

"N-no! I wasn't doing anything! I'm sorry!"

I narrowed my eyes and walked back to bed.

"Damn.
Right."
