John Pov
So.
Uh..
that was gay.
No, I didn't push him off but I didn't really want to.
At all.

I mean, who would want to push that precious little thing off?

What the fuck.
Alex is far from being a cinnamon roll.
So am I to be honest.

Eh.
He has his moments.
His very, very tiny moments.

All in all, he's a moron.
With very little common sense but it was quite impressive when I found out he was in the army.

Wow.
Okay.
Not very cinnamon roll at fucking all.
But he has his microscopic moments.

Like the other day, when he just scooted up to me and put his head on my shoulder.

Which made my heart pound like crazy.

"Sooo...Whatcha doin?" I asked, climbing up to his bed.

"Thinking." He replied.

"About what?" I asked.
"Life before prison." He said.
"Like..the army?"

"No. When I was a kid. But I was about to start thinking about that, then college." He told me, sitting up.

"Oh.
Cool.
Tell me some of your oh so amazing childhood memories,"
I teased.

He snickered and wiped his nose.

"Well uh..I had this friend, Eddie Stevens.
Erm.
Edward Stevens is his, you know, real name or whatever but he was practically my brother. Wouldn't be surprised if he actually was."
Alex said, muttering the last bit.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Oh nothing just..we look really similar and I have-had- a better bond with him than my real brother. Then again, my really brother had to leave."
He said.

"Oh...nice." I said awkwardly.
He chuckled a bit.

"Yeah. I thought he was...
awesome.
I think about the Stevens a lot.
Just how his dad is most likely my dad. I mean, I'd make all logical sense."
He said.

"How?" I asked.

"Well for starters, his son and I look like fuckin twins.
Number two,
my assumed dad,
James just..left taking no responsibility.
Sure, we were in big debt and struggling financially but he just took no delight in me and my 'brother' whatsoever."
Alex paused to think.

"Besides, I'm a bastard boy. It could be fucking anyone for all I know.
But Thomas Stevens.
He's probably most likely.
And if James Hamilton is my dad, then I'm truly disappointed."
Alex said.

I caught the faint anger and disgust in his voice.

"Bastard?" I asked.

"My Mum was married to this guy named Johann Lavien and had my cousin, Peter, being the only 'legitimate'  child.
Then she left for this dude named James and had a kid also named James and then I somehow fit into this mess of a story." He explained.

"Right.
Your childhood sounds nice." I said sarcastically.

"Oh yes, I know right?" He replied almost on instinct.

"What about you?" He asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Your childhood,"

"Oh.
That.
Ew."
I muttered.

He chuckled.
"Well. I have four siblings," "Dammmnn!"

"Yeah, I know right? They are annoying little fucks. Anywho, there was
Patsy,
Harry,
Jemmy,
and Polly."
I said.

"Are those their real names?" He asked.

"No...duh.
Their real names are
Martha,
Henry,
James
and Mary."

I paused.

"Jemmy..he didn't make it too far and died when he was nine.
He tried to jump from a building to a railing and he cracked his head open.
It was all my fault.
I was supposed to be watching him.
I should've been at home and helped him."
I said shaking my head.

"Oh god. Are yo-"

"It's fine. Sure, I'm still feel extremely guilty about the whole affair but I've gotta move on. Polly...is just annoying. Okay next up,"

Alexander laughed a bit, listening intently all the while.

"Harry was super smart and really sweet but my dad was just like a dick to him..all the time. I'm not sure why. But he was."

"Then there was Patsy who is pretty much the nicest out of all my siblings. She's a bit shy and reserved but I love her." I told Alex.

He nodded, a small smile on his face.

Alex and I sat close, nearing the edge of his bed. I put my hand on his, which was resting on his knee.

He flipped his hand and intertwined our fingers.

"Just feels right, doesn't it?"
He muttered.

"Definitely."
