Chapter 16: Golden Disk Awards

~~From last chapter, fast forward about 4 months~~

You woke earlier than usual to go to the Golden Disk Awards.

Since you had a comeback not that long ago, and a performance schedule, you've been too busy for any dates with Kai. It wasn't that much of a different story for him either, you didn't think it would take much of a toll on the relationship, but it seemed to have a big one.

But, you weren't very sure if it was the conflicting schedules or how distant he's been.

Ever since you asked to go public with the relationship, he hasn't texted back much, or been there much either. Even the free days where you both weren't bombarded with practice for something, he has always been occupied with something. And, according to everyone else in the dorm, it wasn't a very good sign.

But today, you weren't very happy because you had to wear something you weren't very fond of.

You walked up to where you were told where your seats were and bumped into Jimin and Hoseok.

"Don't be nervous." Jimin put each on his hands on your shoulders to calm you down, smiling at you.

"That's pretty hard to do." You smiled back.

~~FAST FORWARDING~~

You were backstage, waiting to be called for your performance.

You were performing your two title tracks and a few other tracks, it wasn't a very long performance.

After you performed, you saw BTS backstage getting ready for their own performance. You said hi and walked off, giving them a good luck before leaving.

Then, you saw EXO.

You did say hi to them, you were somewhat familiar, since you were dating Kai and everything. But he didn't really introduce you well, and you didn't have many opportunities to meet them either. Some of them were performing, so you gave therm good luck and got ready to go and sit down as the audience again.

Danielle and Mark has been publicly dating for a long time now, so they were in the corner kissing and showing more public displays of affection.

'Cute I guess.'

You said your hellos to the remaining groups backstage and eventually returned back to your seat.

~~TIME SKIP~~

They had started to announce the nominees for best female rookie group, because of this, you were one nervous woman.

But, they called your group up on the stage to accept the award. Which made you tear up a bit, and by the time you reached the stage full on crying.

"We're so honored to have Royalty do things like this for us. This is the first award we've ever won and," You paused because you were crying too hard, then felt a hand on your back, encouraging you to go on. "And we are so thankful for it. We've gone through a lot to do this, I'm sure royalty will do much more for us. Thank you." You lifted the award once more and walked off the stage.

~~TIME PASSED~~

After the award ceremony, you found yourself on the couch with sweats on, watching a movie with Bella. In the middle of it, though, you got a text.

You opened the video, watched it, then watched it over and over again to make sure you were seeing what was in the video correctly.
