Chapter 10

I'm sorry I didn't update in over a week, my birthday was Thursday and I was busy all weekend. 😓

(Y/N P.O.V)
I woke up feeling refreshed and thankful that I went to bed early, that sleep was much needed. The only thing that concerned me was the silence in the house, usually I would hear Connor walking around and now I assumed I'd hear Hazel running around.

I got out of bed and grabbed my phone from the bedside table, then walked out of my room, glancing down the hallway towards the living room. I grew worried when I didn't see Connor or Hazel anywhere.

As a last resort I checked the guest bedroom. Connor hadn't really used it at all since he's moved in with me so I didn't think he'd be in here. I quietly opened the door, and my heart skipped a beat at what I saw.

Connor was asleep with Hazel, the dog was snuggled into him on the bed. I couldn't help but stare for a minute and think about how cute they looked together, then I quickly snapped a photo with my phone. The flash woke Hazel up who then jumped off the bed and knocked me onto the floor.

"C'mon, lets get you some food" I gave her a kiss on the nose and stood up, she ran past me towards the kitchen.

I glanced over at Connor who was still sleeping. Can androids even sleep? Maybe he just powers off or something during the night.

I closed the bedroom door and walked into the kitchen, Hazel was sitting in front of her food bowl. I smiled and filled it up with some dog food, then got myself some breakfast.

As I sat down at the table to eat, Connor walked into the kitchen, his eyes seemed to relax when he saw me sitting there.

"Good morning, sleepyhead" I smirked at him as he sat down across from me.

Before he could talk, there was a knock on the door. I looked down at my pyjamas, then motioned for Connor to open the door.

I watched as he walked over and swiftly opened the door.

"Is (y/n) home?"

I could immediately tell it was Gavin, so I decided to walk over even though I was still in my pyjamas. My eyes fell to the flowers that he had in his hand.

"Oh! There you are. Uh, these are for you" he shoved the flowers towards me and I took them.

Hazel decided to come over, she started sniffing Gavin. He started petting her while smiling.

"Thank you! I love them," I smiled at him "do you wanna come inside?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date?" I looked at him with wide eyes, and I could've sworn one of Connors eyes twitched.

"A date? Um, yeah, sure!" Gavin smiled and I couldn't help but frown when I saw Connors upset look, "I just need a few minutes to get ready"

I laid the flowers on a table and rushed to my room, closing the door behind me.

Now Connors gonna assume that I like Gavin, and now I'll probably never have a chance to go out with Connor. I couldn't just say no to Gavin though, he's been my friend for years and I couldn't bring myself to upset him.

I quickly got ready, then walked back downstairs. Connor and Gavin were talking, but I couldn't make out what they're saying, I could only tell that Connor looked pissed off.
