Light within, darkness without. Standing in hell, looking at heaven. Tendrils of darkness threaten to overwhelm, wisps of destruction in darkness' realm...

She told him that there is only light, when all around him is darkness blight... She sees their destiny in heaven's delight, when all his eyes can see is night... Her heart awakened in hope insight, when all he feels is hellish fright... Her soul singing in glorious might, when all he hears is chaos' twilight...

But she told him, a faith the size of a spark is enough...

And because of that, he believes.

He does not see the light, but he believes... He does not see her love, but he receives... He does not feel her warmth, but he conceives... A vision of heaven, his heart relieves...

He knows not what she has sacrificed, he knows not what the light has sacrificed... He knows not how much he is loved, he knows not how much he is hated...

But he believes.

Simply because there has to be more than this.

More than darkness, more than strife; more than hate, more than rife... More than death, the abyssal life; more than fighting, the twisted knife...

And he is willing, to oppose... The slavery of darkness, the twilight enclose... He yearns for the light, to enlighten expose... The truth within, divinity impose...

The fire in his soul, the only thing he can see... Is her light, that can set him free... His only sun, his only hope... To getting out of here, to freedom elope...

He's willing to die for it, live for it...

He's willing to love for it.

At the darkness seeking to corrupt his fire, he holds on to his heart's desire... To live for her for heaven aspire, her heart her soul does deeply inspire... A calling to heed, a destiny higher; he follows he accepts his being entire... A destiny to fulfil, admist the crossfire; of hell and heaven's battlespire...

"You know, I died for you a thousand times..."

"How..."

"But that was not enough. I was not enough. So I asked the light, whom shall you send..."

"Who..."

"I am... Said the light, and I cried... Tears of sorrow, tears of joy, knowing what must be done..."

"What..."

"Someone to take your darkness away... A price must be paid..."

"Someone must die."
