They finally decided to head down for breakfast, finding Minsu and Monet sitting at the dinner table. "Goodmorning sleepyheads, or didn't you do much sleeping," Minsu grinned raising his eyebrows suggestively.
"Goodmorning to you too Minsu, we slept fine," Yoongi emphasized. He glanced at Monet who was fiddling with her bracelet and avoided his gaze. She was probably still feeling uncomfortable about what happened yesterday.
Jimin didn't seem to notice or didn't care about Monet's anxious mood because he sat down across her and greeted her energetically. She gazed at Jimin with questioning eyes. Jimin hadn't said a word to her yesterday and it had been very clear why. Monet didn't seem to understand the sudden change in attitude and was left uncharicteristically speechless.
She quickly regained herself when she saw Jimin's eyes sparkle invitingly. "I-eh think I need to apologize for yesterday," she stammered. "I didn't mean to make you unconfortable or jealous. Yoongi and I are just friends, and I don't want to mess up anything between you guys. You seem like a great couple, and you make Yoongi very happy," she continued while nervously twirling her hair.
"It's okay, Monet. I don't blame you for wanting to draw a beautiful man like Yoongi, well I did at first but not anymore," Jimin smirked. "Yoongi already told me you guys are friends and actually I should apologize. You didn't deserve how I treated you yesterday, I am actually really grateful that Yoongi has someone to talk to," Jimin continued more serious.
Monet's mouth curved into a smile and she nodded at Jimin like they had just formed some kind of secret bond. "I heard you educated him well," Monet grinned. Both me and Jimin looked at her confused. "He knows what Matt Damon's best film is, and quite frankly I don't believe he got to that conclusion all by himself," her eyes flickered with amusement.
They all talked a little more about movies and Jimin and Monet even got into a passionate discussion about whether Leonardo DiCaprio would have fitted on the piece of wood at the end of the Titanic or not. Yoongi couldn't be happier about them two getting along. He just stared them frantically moving their hands while they argued and couldn't help but smile.
Since they were on the topic of movies anyway they decided to go watch a movie. The moment they were about to go over to the livingroom Ji-Ho walked in. Monet stopped causing Minsu to bump into her.
"Hey Ji-Ho, would you like to come watch a movie with us? We were planning on watching The Avengers," Monet asked. "What, I th-" before Minsu could finish his sentence he received and elbow from Monet.
Apparently Minsu was oblivious to why Monet changed her choice of movie, but Yoongi could see the effect it had on Ji-Ho. His eyes lit up and he could see the corners of Ji-Ho's mouth curl up. He didn't say anything but Monet had picked up in the change in his expression too. "Cool! I'll go put the DVD in, we'll wait for you until you've finished your breakfast," she beamed.
Yoongi had never seen any Marvel movies or read the comic's but Ji-Ho was happy to answer all of his questions. The way his whole face lit up while he talked about Thor's hammer or why the Hulk would turn green was the same as when Monet's face lit up when she talked about her art and how Jimin's face lit up talking about books.
Yoongi thought of how people looked most beautiful when they talked about something they were passionate about and made pictures in his mind of how Ji-Ho looked right now. He just wanted to remember this Ji-Ho and not the one they usually got to see.
They talked a little more about the movie after it ended but they were interrupted by Yannie. "Yoongi there are people here to see you," she announced. Yoongi immediately felt himself tense up. He silently got up but turned around when he noticed that Jimin hadn't gotten up with him.
"Aren't you coming?" He looked at Jimin expectantly who seemed suprised by his question. "Are you sure?" Jimin's voice sounded unsure. Yoongi nodded. "Yes, I need you there," he fidgeted with his hands. Jimin jumped up and took one of his hands and squeezed it encouragingly.
Mun-Hee was sitting at the table along side Mrs. Shi both of them were smiling. But Yoongi was too nervous to make out whether it was because they had good news or to comfort him before bringing bad news. He sat down across them and started drumming his fingers on the table before Jimin took his hands between his and mouthed to him 'I'm here for you'.
Mun-Hee greeted both of them before starting off. "We have good news for you Yoongi, the court has decided to sentence Shin-Cho to three years in prison. This was still a fairly mild sentence since the abuse was intentional and he caused you serious harm. But the judge decided to only sentence him to three years because he believed that Shin-Cho, who is still young, deserves a chance to redeem himself," Mun-Hee explained.
Three years a mild sentence? Yoongi's head was spinning remembering how horrible the six months had been he had spent in juvenile prison. He didn't even want to imagine what three whole years in a real prison would be like.
"Hey Yoongi, are you okay?" He was so lost in his thoughts that he hadn't heard a word of what Mun-Hee had said. "I'm sorry yeah, what were you saying?" he restored himself. "I was saying that how much I wish we could celebrate this win a little longer, but we should start talking about how we want to make sure that Hyung-Woo will also end up behind bars so we can get you home," Mun-Hee brows were drawn together and his eyes looked cautious.
Yoongi glanced over at Jimin who shot him a half smile. "I thought I was just going to have to testify in court. Like I would just tell them about a couple of things he has done," his voice sounded softer with every word barely speaking louder than a whisper at the end. Yoongi realised that he had been foolish to believe it would be that easy.
"We need witnesses who can confirm your story, because you never went to the hospital right?" Mun-Hee questioned. Yoongi shook his head. "You can try to contact your mother," Mrs. Shi suggested. "No!" Yoongi protested abruptly. "I am not asking her for help besides, she would never agree to testify against Hyung-Woo. She has always defended him, even when I begged her to help me."
"Is there anybody else who has witnessed him abusing you or has seen the injuries?" Mun-Hee calmly continued. Yoongi could only think of one other person, but maybe even his mother would be a better option than this one.
He felt Jimin gently nudge him so he looked over to him. "You could always ask him," Jimin proposed softly. "Ask who?" Mun-Hee looked from one boy to the other. Yoongi let out a sigh. "Shin-Cho, I could always ask Shin-Cho."
