Yoongi could feel how his hands were shaking uncontrolably, so he tugged them between his legs to hide it. He was sitting in the car next to Mun-Hee on his way to the prison. He stared out of the window hypnotised by the constant stream of trees passing in front of his eyes.

"We're here." Mum-Hee's voice shook Yoongi out of his thoughts, he nodded without saying a word. He opened the car door and hesitated a second before planting his foot on the asphalt of the parking lot.

Yoongi could feel Mun-Hee's hand resting on his shoulder. "Are you ready Yoongi?" Yoongi turned his gaze to Mum-Hee who looked concerned. "I'll be okay," Yoongi replied shooting Mum-Hee a half smile.

They both started walking towards the entrance, but it felt like heavy weights were attached to his legs, like he had to fight his way to the front door. Every fiber in his being screamed to turn around and never come back, to hide.

But Yoongi knew he couldn't do that, not if he wanted to return back to Jimin. Somehow in that moment his love for Jimin silenced the fear of facing Shin-Cho and he kept on walking.

A prison guard lead them through a dozen hallways that all looked the same. "Here we are, I'll be waiting outside if you need me," the guard announced while opening the door to a tiny room. When Yoongi stepped through the door his breath got caught in his throat. There he was, staring right at him.

The moment Shin-Cho's eyes locked with his a wicked smile appeared on Shin-Cho's face. "Well, well, I think you're about the last person I expected to walk through that door, Yoongi," his voice sounded cold and threatening.

Yoongi didn't say a thing and he tore his gaze away from Shin-Cho's fiery eyes. Luckily Mun-Hee took the lead and sat down in one of the chairs across Shin-Cho and gestured to Yoongi to come and sit down beside him. Yoongi could feel Shin-Cho's eyes burning on him, studying his every move.

He realised he started sweating and he stuck his hands between his legs again hoping Shin-Cho hadn't noticed how they were shaking again. But deepdown he knew Shin-Cho would still notice how nervous he was making him, they had known each other for so long. The smug look on his face spoke a thousand words.

"You might be wondering why we are here today," Mun-Hee started, luckily he looked much more confident, even though his general look wasn't that imposing at least he wasn't sweating and shaking like a nervous kid on his first day of school.

"We're here to offer you a deal. You help us, and we help you." Shin-Cho raised an eyebrown, but stayed silent. "If you agree to help us, we can offer you a reduced sentence. You'd be out of here in a little over a year instead of three years," Mun-Hee paused and looked at Shin-Cho.

His face seemed unreadable for a second before he let out a sinister laugh. "You think I will help HIM? He's the one who got me in here in the first place, there is no chance in hell that I'll help him, no matter what you offer me!" Shin-Cho spat out.

Yoongi felt his last bit of hope drift away. This is what he had feared, this was his worst nightmare. The Shin-Cho sitting in front of him would never help him. He could hear Mun-Hee trying to change Shin-Cho's mind in the distance. Then he thought of what Mr. Bak had told him yesterday.

"Shin-Cho, please hear me out." Both Mun-Hee and Shin-Cho looked suprised when Yoongi started talking. "Remember that day when Hyung-Woo had beaten me so bad with his belt that I had barely made it to your doorstep before passing out?" Yoongi now looked Shin-Cho straight in the eyes, trying to read his reaction.

Shin-Cho said nothing so Yoongi continued. "When I regained conciousness the first thing I saw was your face. You looked so concerned and relieved at the same time. You told me you had been so afraid that I wouldn't wake up this time," Yoongi's last words were barely more than a whisper.

"What does this have to do with anything? That was years ago," Shin-Cho sounded defensive. "Remember what you promised me that night?" Yoongi asked, ignoring Shin-Cho's hostile tone. "I know you do."

"That was ages ago, things have changed and you know it!" Shin-Cho replied fiery. "You promised me you'd always be there to protect me from Hyung-Woo, remember?" Yoongi's voice cracked. "I know things are different now, but I thought this would be the one thing that would never change."

"You know, I thought a lot of things would never change between us, but it did. You betrayed me, and I warned you what would happen if you did! This is all on you!" Shin-Cho now looked like he was going to explode any minute.

"But you promised me and now you can live up to that promise. I know that we'll never be able to go back to the way it was, but please. Please do this for the guys who we used to be. Those two kids who believed they could escape the life their parents lived. Who believed that anything was still possible. I know that guy is still in there somewhere, please." Yoongi tried hard to fight his tears.

Suddenly Shin-Cho jumped out of his chair and flipped over the table between them. "You don't get to make me look like a villain here! The day you decided to go against me was the day that boy in me died, and that promise with it!" Shin-Cho's eyes were spitting fire now and he walked around the table towards Yoongi.

In a reflex Yoongi backed up until he could feel his back against the cold concrete wall. Shin-Cho just moved closer to him and grabbed him by his throat, making Yoongi gasp for air. He tried to push Shin-Cho away, but he had always been stronger than Yoongi.

Shin-Cho moved his face closer to his so they were only inches apart and Yoongi could feel Shin-Cho's increased breaths on his face. "If you ever dare to show your face here again, you'll be sorry," Shin-Cho hissed.

That moment the guard came bursting through the door and Shin-Cho let go of his throat. Yoongi gasped for air while wrapping his hands around his neck which seemed to be on fire. The guard came over and cuffed Shin-Cho and roughly pushed him outside of the room.

Mun-Hee rushed over to Yoongi. "Are you alright? I tried to get the guard as fast as I could but I wasn't fast enough. I'm so sorry!" Mun-Hee sounded panicked. Yoongi coughed before speaking. "It's okay, I'll be fine."

Mun-Hee apologized about a hundred times more on the way back but Yoongi didn't register any of it. His mind went back to that dark place. Talking to Shin-Cho hadn't brought him any closure like Mr. Bak had promised it would. It had only reopened the old wounds that he thought had healed long ago.
