Your POV

One week until prom and I think everyone already have dates.

I was this 👌🏽 close to asking Ally.

Mani helped me with it and I was so nervous.

But when we were on a move Troy decided it was time for him to asked Ally.

Flashback

"Mani, I don't think I can do this." I said while I shake.

I was holding a simple cardboard that says "PROM?"

That was the original plan but Mani changed it and made it more big.

Now I'm shaking because I'm wearing an outfit that I wear at weddings.

I'm kidding.

I'm wearing a simple shirt and skinny jeans.

"You ready?" Normani asked and before I answer we heard someone yell promposal.

Normani and I looked at each other and we ran to the cafeteria.

Apparently we were so slow because when we got there we already see Ally and Troy kissing.

I felt my chest hurt and I turned around and walked away.

"Y/N!" Normani called after me.

I stopped at my locker and opened it and shoved the cardboard in my locker.

"Y/N." Normani called me and she stopped beside me.

I wiped my eyes and I turned to her with a forced smile.

"Well that was a boring promposal. We totally saw it coming that they're going together." I said and Normani frowned at me and hugged me.

"Oh Y/N."

I can't hold it anymore and I cried on her shoulder.

"I k-knew it wasn't gonna happen. I don't know w-why I had my hopes up." I cried and Mani rubbed my back.

"Wanna skip?"

"Yes please."

That was three days ago.

Ally's been gushing about that promposal.

Since I'm staying at her home she's been gushing it at me.

I decided to forget what happened three days ago.

This is why I hate promposal.

I will be forever bitter about promposals.

I walked towards the washroom while cursing promposals in my mind.

Fuck prom-

I stopped when I heard someone sniffling.

I stayed quiet and I heard a sniffle again.

"Hello?"

The sniffles stopped after I said hello.

I slowly opened every stall door until I found the locked one.

"Hello? Are you okay?" I asked and I jumped when I heard an angry voice.

"Do you mind?! I'm shitting! Check the other door and stop bothering me!" The voice said. I jumped in surprise and rolled my eyes.

"Jeez."
