A few hours earlier
Kai's P.O.V
Me and Will were talking again about Ellie and how we are going to make sure her friends don't get suspicious about her sudden leave. I turned on Ellie's phone and she had 5 miss calls. 3 from someone called Rachel and 2 form someone called Sophia, she had loads off texts messages from Rachel as well. I called Jackson to come to my office so I could get into Ellie's phone and right now me and Will are waiting for him.
Knock knock
"Come in" I say and look towards the door to see Jackson walking in with a laptop in his hands
"Right where is this phone you need me to unlock?" He says as he starts to set up his laptop
I give Jackson the phone and not even 10 minuets later he is handing me it back with it unlocked, I couldn't believe how fast he can do this stuff. I went onto her messages and started reading the messages from Rachel.
'Where are you?'
'Are you okay, please phone me when you get this'
'I'm starting to get worried Ellie!'
'Please be okay'
"Wow her friend Rachel really cares about her" I say and Jackson and Will both laugh
"Well if you didn't know where your friend was you would be worried to" Jackson says
"Ino but what are we going to do about it? That girl Rachel is already suspicious" Will says
"Omg I know! her mum and dad live in Australia so we can just get Ellie to phone Rachel and say that she's away to Australia and she doesn't know when she's coming back" Jackson says, this guy is a genius! Honestly he deserves more credit for what he does.
"Jackson that's a brilliant idea" I say as I take out my phone and phone Lucas
"What's up Boss?" He says
"I need you and Ellie to come to my office"
"Okay sure, we will be right there" Lucas says and then hangs up, a few minutes later there is a knock on the door and when I say come in, him and Ellie walk into the room.
"Is everything alright Boss?" Lucas asks and I look at Ellie to see her shaking
"Yes everything is fine no need to panic" I look at Ellie again and see her calm
"Ellie I need you to phone Rachel and tell her you are moving to Australia to visit your parents for a while and you don't know when you'll be coming back" she looks at me confused, then shocked and then she laughs
"What's so funny!" I shout and she immediately stops laughing and look down at the ground
"N-nothing s-sorry!" She says still looking at the floor
"Right well I'm going to give you your phone now and your going to phone Rachel and tell her that your in Australia, and no funny business if you say anything about us or something I don't like I will not hesitate to shoot you understand?"
"I-I don't t-think this is g-going to w-work, I haven't spoken to my mum and dad in years a-and Rachel knows t-that we aren't c-close" Ellie looks like she's trying so hard not to cry, I know this is hard for her but I can't just let her go, that would show that I'm weak and it would be a threat to me and my gang and I'm not going to put us all in danger for a girl so we better think of something fast to tell her friend.
"Well how can we get Rachel to stop worrying about you, because eventually she is going to phone the police" Jackson says
"Can't you just lie and say you have been in contact with your parents for a few weeks now but you didn't want to tell her because you didn't want to get her hopes up about your being close again?" Will asks, I have to say that isn't a bad idea
"I-I could try"
"Great, That should work and if it doesn't we will think of something else" I say handing Ellie her phone back
Ellie's P.O.V
I take my phone back from Kai and look at the screen, there is miss calls from Rachel and Sophia. I go to my contact list and scroll down until I see Rachel, Kai and Will are standing behind me watching over my shoulders. Just before I press call Kai tells me to put it on speaker, I press call and put it on speaker, not even a minute later Rachel answers the phone.
"ELLIE! Where are you?! Are you okay?! Why didn't you answer your phone? I was so worried about you! Please tell me your okay!!" Rachel says without taking a breath and I automatically feel bad because I'm about to lie to my best friend and she is so worried about me
"Rachel calm down I'm fine..." before I could say anything else Rachel cut me off
"CALM DOWN? ELLIE DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED I WAS ABOUT YOU? SO DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN" Rachel shouts into the phone, I feel really bad
"I'm sorry Rachel my phone was dead and I couldn't call you"
"It's okay what matters is your okay" She says
"Yeah, I'm okay" I lie "listen Rachel I'm about to tell you something and your not going to like it, I'm in Australia" Another lie
"WHAT?!" She screams "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR IN AUSTRALIA?!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN AUSTRALIA?" Okay she's really mad, she's going to lose her voice with all the screaming and shouting. I can't say anything though I would do the same if she told me she was in Australia
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I have been in contact with my mum and dad and I decided I'd go and see them as I haven't seen them in years" okay I really hope she knows I'm lying and phones the police
"Ellie I don't even know what to say, why didn't you tell me you were back in contact with your parents? Did you think I wouldn't be happy for you?" She sounds so sad and I feel really bad, I'm also a bit annoyed that she fell for it! She should know I'm lying
"Off course I knew you would be happy for me, that's why I didn't tell you I didn't want you to get your hopes up for me and then it not working out and I stop talking to them again" okay that doesn't make any sense at all.
Rachel's P.O.V
"Off course I knew you would be happy for me, that's why I didn't tell you I didn't want you to get your hopes up for me and then it not working out and I stop talking to them again" Ellie has never been a good at lying especially to me. I know something is wrong I don't know what but she is not in Australia, I know my best friend and she doesn't even like flying so she wouldn't get a plane to Australia by herself. All I know is I have to go on with it for now because I don't know if she's in trouble and I don't want to make it worse for her.
"I understand Ellie I just wish you would have told me, do you know when you'll be coming back?" If she says no something is definitely wrong because she wouldn't just leave and not say when she's coming back home.
"No I booked a one way ticket so if I don't like it over here I can come back whenever I want but I like it so far and as much as I miss you I don't want to leave" okay something is really wrong and I need to find her! She is not in Australia!
