Hidden from humans was a world of creatures made from nightmares. Werewolves stalked the night, witches could alter your reality, but the most dangerous: a race of snake-like beings known as the Serpentipedi.

These beings were revered as gods in certain human religions for their power. These Serpentipedi lived up to their name as they could transform their appearance at will. Skin would become scaled, teeth would elongate into razor sharp fangs, and pupils would shrink and narrow. Venom coursed through their bodies allowing them to kill a human in minutes.

These supernatural creatures were in small numbers compared to werewolves. It took a certain ritual for a serpent to rise. One night, under a blood red moon, Lilith rose to join her fellow serpents. She was worshipped like a goddess along side her brethren, but humans grew scared.

The Serpentipedi were wiped from the history books, disappearing alongside ancient human civilizations. Only a few remained. Lilith survived the massacre. For thousands of years she lived, watching humans rise and fall. Werewolves and witches grew in strength.

Suddenly, the supernatural world would shift, and a new race would be created. Born from a protective, desperate mother, the first Vampires would be created. Lilith grew curious and she sought them out. The rest, they say, is history.

Lilith found the Mikaelson siblings, and found something she hasn't had in centuries. Family. The snake clashed with the hybrid, Klaus, but soon they became the base for every romance story ever made. Their story lasted for centuries, and another chapter would be created when the couple returned to Mystic Falls, the place where the vampires began, to free Klaus from his curse.

The supernatural world would shake with the consequences of the King and Queen returning. People would die, ancient beings woken, and the impossible turning possible. Klaus and Lilith Mikaelson would raise hell to get whatever they wanted, and that would never change. Watch out, Mystic Falls.
