Chapter 39: I'm sorry

Dahlia pov

It happened again. It always happens.

He did it again.

He broke it to the cells. It was normal for him to do that when I was in the assassin group.But why now?
He has everything he has ever wanted, but risks everything by breaking into a gangs house and doing the exact same things he did to me when I was a teen.

It hurts though, because this time he didn't just rape me. He also stabbed me.

He said it was extra punishment for leaving. Even though, I had to leave. He never makes sense, He said when he had the chance to he would 'buy' me from jaxon, but we both know that's not gonna happen buddy.

I don't think jaxon likes selling people.

Especially to abusers.

I woke up 5 minutes ago, and every now and then I hear footsteps close to who's ever room I'm staying in.

But I can't just stay here.

I have to get up, so I do.

The pain is just about bare able in my ribs and my stomach.

I go to the bathroom in the bedroom and look in the mirror.

And as Gerard way sings.

"if you look in the mirror and don't like what you see, you'll find out first hand what its like to be me." My face is all bruised from jaxon but my stomach is all black and blue from him.

I put my hair in a high pony tail and go downstairs, and they are all down there. Avery notices me first, but she is quiet and doesn't say anything, just watches me, Avery doesn't speak a lot and when she does she has a beautiful voice.

Then Cedric notices me, speaking mostly in sarcasm, "Ah, nice of you to join us"

Everyone's attention turns towards me. Great, Saffron, who has a very British tone to her voice yelps when she sees me and practically leaps out of her chair from fright, "You look dreadful, what happened to you?"

I laugh, "you're leader happened to me, he thinks it's a great punishment"
The others look confused, then link and Edison come into the lounge.

Edison inhales deeply, "I didn't realise it was that bad, um sorry kiddo" his awkwardness shows much more than I remember, but he still comes up next to me and hugs me, "Jax told me, I'm sorry" I shake my head at him,
"I don't want your sympathy, it has happened before and I'm used to it" I shrug.

"what happened? All we know is that somebody broke in to the cells and hurt you, nobody really told us anything" Ethan says looking concerned

I look over to him and give a short sigh, "I'm fine, the guy who broke in was the guy who legally adopted me and then made me an assassin" I pause, and take in everyone's shocked faces then I carry on, "I'm guessing some of you didn't know I was an assassin huh"

"So you're the person who killed the dick?" Avery smiles at Ellies tone , and I laugh, "if you mean jaxon, I haven't killed him yet, but if you mean Mason then, get the answers of Jaxon after all I didn't get tortured for nothing"

Ellie and Avery look at Jaxon and give him a death glare, Jaxon shrugs,"Its the way of punishment" he says as he receives more death glares from the rest of the gang.

If looks could kill, I wouldn't be thinking of ways to kill Jaxon, "I will hurt you the same way you hurt her!" Edison stumbles over to him, but doesn't get far before I put an arm out and roll my eyes. "I said I'm fine, Ed, nothing I can't handle"

Ethan speaks up from the tension, "Who's hungry?"  I sigh and raise my hand, "I am" Link looks at me, "Well obviously, I'm surprised you can even walk, man you haven't eaten in like 6 days"

'Okay, Jax we are going to go eat-" Ethan starts to say, but gets cut off once I speak up. "Okay, but I don't know everyones names"

"well you obviously know mine, I'm 26" Jax says, Avery follows,  "Avery Ashton, 19" then a list of names that I now have to remember hit my brain,"Ellie newton, 23" "Ethan Zella and I'm 22" "Cedric Jonathan, 23" "Link Jensen, 28", "Saffron lee, 21"

"Do you still want me to tell you my name?" Edison laughs, "No, I know yours Edison reece brax, 29"
