Newt took Jacob and lily's arms and disaparated out of there, leaving the officers and the lion behind.

They apparated in Central Park, and once again, Lily's knees went week and she felt on the light snow. She hated this. She hated being weak, not in control of herself. She hated having to rely on anyone. Her whole life she had been living alone in an orphanage where she had to take care of herself. And she would have kept on being independent, but she cant help it. She has absolutely no control over the dark force inside her, and it grows stronger by the day. It doesn't help that she has heavy duty days and keeps apparating everywhere.

"Is she okay?" Jacob asked when he noticed Lily on the ground. Newt kneeled beside her and moved the locks of hair away from her face.

"I'm sorry about that," Newt said, he said honestly, extending his hand to help her up. She took it and Newt pulled her up, noticing how cold her hands were. This was her body's reaction trying to keep the obscurus inside her. Cold was an obscurus weakness, that's why in his case, Newt had his own inside a freezing room.

"It's fine," she said, her voice slightly shaky. "My knees are wet. And cold. But I'm fine."

As they went to walk towards the central park zoo, an ostrich ran past them. Then, a big roar was heard from afar.

"That's slightly worrying," Lily commented. And with that, the three started to run towards the source of the noise.

Suddenly, Newt stopped and opened his case on the ground. "Put this on," he said as he pulled a helmet and handed it to Jacob.

"Why would I need to wear this?" Jacob asked, slightly confused.

"Because your skull is susceptible to breakage under immense force," Newt explained. "If you could also pop this on," he said, handing a leather body armor to an already terrified Jacob.

"Tell me, has anyone ever believed you when you told them not to worry?" Jacob asked, fastening the belt on his jacket.

"My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice."
