The Darkness Within

•Chapter 4 - Obliviate•

They apparated outside the bank, and Newt immediatly ducked down to throw his niffler back inside his case. While Mr. Kowalski leaned against the wall for support, Lily just compelled lost strength in her legs and fell on her knees with a grunt.

"Awfully sorry about that," Newt started, before turning around and seeing the damage he had done. "Are you alright?" He asked, visibly worried.

"Apparating is just not my favourite form of travel," she lied. "Even less when it's by surprise." Obviously, it was more than that, but she wouldn't just go around telling her secrets to strange men she met on the streets. She took Newt's extended hand and was pulled up.

They looked around, and there were police cars and policemen in front of the bank.

"What the hell was that?" Mr. Kowalski asked, making then remember his presence.

"Nothing that need concern you," Newt said, placing his case down next to Mr. Kowalski's. "Now, unfortunately, you have seen far too much," he said, smothering the man's coat. "So if you wouldnt mind... if you just stand there, this will be over in a jiffy."

Mr. Kowalski nodded. "Sure, yeah."

Before anyone could react, Mr. Kowalski took his case and hit Newt in the head with it, making him fall on Lily. The man ran away before the two could even get back up, yelling a small 'sorry' over his shoulder.

"Bugger," Newt whispered as he helped her up once more. As she stood up, Lily eyed Tina, who was walking towards them. Her eyes widened and she went back into hiding behind the wall, Newt following her movements.

Just as she decided she was going to come clean to Tina and tell her everything that happened, she turned the corner of the wall and grabbed their arms, apparating about two blocks away form the bank and the policemen.

Once more, Lily was caught by surprise and ended up on the ground. She quickly stood up, maybe a bit too quickly as she had to lean over the wall to keep her balance.
