Silence tended to fill the house at all times. Happiness and noise was rare here since that day happened. A reason I loved his house so much as it was a home away from home. A place I felt comfortable in.

My silver-blue hair fell in my face as I looked at the outfits in front of me. Rarely did I ever think of what to wear, but it was his birthday today. He was turning sixteen, well he was already sixteen. It was a special day for him, for me as well.

He knew why it was special, but it was even more special for me when he saw me today. And I wanted to look nice. So just ordinary clothing wasn't going to cut it for me. No jeans and t-shirts or casual clothing. I wanted something nice that both of us would like.

Something Alex would like.

I looked back at the clothes set up before me. A blue dress with 3/4 sleeves, a black skirt with a blue sweater and then a black dress. I bit my lip before picking up the blue dress and sliding it on and looking at the mirror.

I smiled deciding it was the one before picking up the brush and running it through my hair until it was soft. Once that was done I put on socks and a light blue pair of converse before exiting my bedroom and into the kitchen where my caregiver sat.

A tall man with snow white hair. His name was Blizzard, although registered it was Henry. Which was hard to do. Blizzard looked up at me. "Something special going on?" Blizzard asked as I went over to my pancakes that he had made before I sat down to eat it.

"It's Alex's sixteenth birthday." I said cutting the pancakes up to eat them. Blizzard nodded. "Am I driving you to school?" Blizzard asked as I cut up the pancakes. "Yes." I said and he nodded as I brushed bits of my hair from my face before looking over at the mirror on the wall.

"There's been no activity has there?" I asked. "No, I believe any of them have gone back to the kingdom and given it up." Blizzard said and I nodded at that as I finished my pancakes before going to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Once my breath was nothing but minty I stopped.

Going out I grabbed my backpack before looking at Blizzard. "I'm ready to go." I told him. Blizzard nodded before standing up and we went out to his car. The roads were snowy and I felt more in my element.

And when it was cold no ice pops were needed. I opened the door and buckled up as Blizzard got in before pulling out of the driveway as I cast a glance at the bland house as he drove me off to school. No one would expect an exile to be here.

The school pulled into view after twenty minutes of driving

The school pulled into view after twenty minutes of driving. Greenburg High, home of the wolves. Literally. The wolf was the mascot, but this side of town was run by werewolves.

Blizzard opened the door. "Be safe." Blizzard said and I nodded before stepping out. The door shut behind me and I watched the car pull away. To not appear suspicious I had on a light blue pleather jacket that still matched. It irritated me a bit though.
