So, one of the things I see people complain the most about is that everyone writes about the same characters.
Like, in Marvel, everyone writes fanfics for Steve, Bucky, T'Challa, Loki, and Peter P, it seems. In Harry Potter, it's Sirius, Remus, Draco, and Fred who seem to get the most love.
Okay. And I have fanfics for all the above Marvel characters either planned or being written (besides T'Challa). And you know why? Coz I love all the characters. I also have fanfics being planned/written for Scott Lang, Rhodey, Tony, Yondu, and quite a few other characters who don't see nearly enough love.
Anyways. Point of this is this: let people write what they want? Like. I know it's annoying to see the same characters over and over and it can be a little annoying that when you search Tony Stark in the search bar, a lot of the fics are Peter Parker (not kidding) or when you type in Thor, most of them are Loki fics. But you wanna know how you fix that? Write the fics you want to see. I went searching for Rhodey fics one day and couldn't find any, so I decided to write my own. Have I gotten very far into it? Nah. But I'm working on it. It'll be up at some point.
But like. Yeah.
