So its snowstorming outside so I took a taxi to work at like 11:45PM and I don't work until 7:15AM but the taxis are unreliable so I don't trust them to get me to work on time, especially considering how we're supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow before morning and idk if the roads would be plowed. So, now I'm sitting in the Wal-Mart break room and I took a nap already but I need to stay awake and I've had a Monster and I'm slightly wired and I have Mountain Dew to drink but I still need to stay awake and so I was on Tumblr and I found this really cool tag thing. Basically, pick a fan fiction of yours and answer the questions. I'm gonna spite this fucking website and choose It's Not Right, But It's Okay (also Secret Love isn't far enough into it to choose soooooooo)
1) What inspired you to write this fic the way you did?
Well, I wrote it from Tony's perspective just because I thought it made more sense for the story, and I chose to make it a shorter story because I wanted to tell the story I had in my head and I didn't want to go any further, although I'm not opposed to adding more to the universe. I just didn't want to make the book longer than I thought it needed to be.
2) What was the first scene you wrote?
Actually, it was the scene where Peter and Tony told May about their relationship. I had all the dialogue for that scene written, however the final version is different than the original because I had it all saved on my old phone and my phone decided to take a shit right before I started writing that chapter, so that draft of the chapter is long gone and I will probably never get it back, unfortunately. However, I actually like the version that ended up being in the book more because May was a lot more reasonable than she originally was.
3) What's your favorite line of narration?
This, from the second chapter:
Peter nodded his head, as he always did. Tony would never not ask him though, as he had since that first night the two had ended up in bed. It always made Tony's heart leap with joy from the fact that he was actually managing to help someone else sleep, while he himself got actual sleep. They were good for each other, and Tony knew that whatever any of the other Avengers may think, he and Peter would keep this up. It didn't matter if the whole world ended up against them, Tony's heart broke at the thought of having to give up Peter.
4) What's your favorite line of dialogue:
I'm cheating and using a full blown conversation between Tony and Peter from chapter two just because it's so fluffy and I love fluff so much. So yeah, this bit of conversation between the two of them:
When they finally broke apart, they left their foreheads pressing against each other, until Tony finally pulled away. "If we don't get up now, I'm going to want to keep you locked away in here all day, Pete."
"Is that such a bad thing?" Peter questioned. When all Tony did to answer him was give him a pointed look, the teenager sighed. "Fine, I'll get up and dressed. You probably should too, old man."
"Hey, watch who you're calling old," Tony teased. "Or else I might decide I'm too old to fuck you into oblivion later on in celebration of getting through today."
As Peter grabbed one of Tony's Black Sabbath shirts, and pulled it over his head, he grinned. "Thought we agreed you wouldn't fuck me into oblivion on a school night again after I didn't wake up until well after noon last Monday."
