Battle of the Dawn (Part 1)

No One's Pov:

"Bendy." "Here." Cuphead checked him off the list he held and continued on calling names. He needed everyone that could fight for this Battle. With his crew, Sheba's crew, and Silver's crew; there were 1700 pirates that could fight. They were still greatly outnumbered, though. Lucifer's crew was of 9000 pirates who had more weapons than they could count. But Cuphead, Bendy, Boris, Oswald, Danielle, Sheba, and Silver had a foolproof plan that would send Lucifer out of their lives for good. No more pain, no more death... Only revenge.

Everyone was accounted for, so Captain Cuphead nodded to First Mate Boris to begin explaining the plan. Boris marched in the center of all the crew's so they all could see him. "Alright! Listen up, this here be no laughin' matter! The plan be for us ta launch a surprise attack on Lucifer's ship at Dawn! He'll be sleepin', as will his crew. We'll close off the ship on all sides and swing onto the ship. Then, we'll snatch all the weapons we can find ta make 'em powerless. And finally, we attack! Whether we win or lose, we will not surrender or abandon! We will fight for those we loved, for those we lost, and for those we have! We fight for each other, no matter what happens! Until the death!" Boris made a dramatic ending to his speech by pointing his gun to the sky and firing. That got a huge cheer. A small seagull landed next to Boris, making the young wolf jump. He looked down at the seagull, the sky, then his gun. "I gotta learn ta watch were I aim.... I keep hittin' poor seagulls." Everyone burst out laughing.

Later, Bendy stood still, looking at Felix's gun. He had practiced for days in order to use it. He would only use it if he lost his swords, but he still needed to know how to use it. Boris had willingly tutored him in gunmanship. Bendy aimed carefully at the makeshift target in front of him and fired. A clear hole appeared in the center of it, not even splintered. "Felix would've been proud." Bendy jumped at the voice and turned to see Sheba smiling at him. "You must miss him deeply, Sheba... I'm so, so sorry I couldn't save him..." A tear streaked down Bendy's face. The small demon looked up to find Sheba in the same state, still smiling. "Oh, Bendy... I could never blame you for what happened to Felix... And I'm sure he'd hit my head if I did... He really liked you, ya know... He was always talking about how nice and brave and funny and.... He saw you like a son... Felix always wanted a family... I guess he thought you were the closest he felt was right." Bendy sighed and gave Sheba a small smile. He turned away and walked to the edge of the ship. If only he could turn back time and keep Felix from losing his life.

Boris walked back and forth along the bow of the Skeleton. He played the plan over and over again in his head, looking for a flaw. "Boris, are you ready for the battle?" The young wolf jumped and spun around, finding Shera standing a few feet away from him. He gave her a smile and walked to her. "Heh... I'm just tryin' ta be sure it's gonna work... I don't want ta lose anyone in this." Sheba gave Boris a reassuring smile and kissed him. She pulled away after a minute. "Don't ya worry Boris... I'm sure everything will work out." Boris shook his head. "Everyone is lookin' up ta me ta do this right... But I don't really know all I'm doin'..." "Boris... Ya may not think ya know what you're doing... But everyone else knows it's true that ya do know... Just have a little faith in yourself." Shera gave Boris a peck on the cheek and walked away. Boris felt his confidence boosted.

Mickey sat next to Joseph with Henry leaning against a wall in the crew's quarters. "A-are ya guys nervous about t-the battle?" Mickey asked. Henry and Joseph only shrugged. "Well, just between you and me Mick; I'm a bit nervous." Mickey turned his head to see his long-lost brother, Oswald walking towards the three. Mickey gave Oswald a small smile. "I'm glad I'm not the only one..." Oswald kneeled down next to Mickey and put a hand on his brother's shoulder. "Hey... Everything's gonna be okay... We're going ta win this." "All crew prepare yet places! We'll be in range of The Debtor in an hour!" First Mate Boris yelled out.
