Third person's point of view.

The following morning, Aragorn leads the four hobbits and Aryn in her shifted form away from the village of Bree. "Where are you taking us?" Frodo demands as he walks, "Into the wild." Aragorn said back without looking at them as Ayrn trotted softly beside him, in her pack all their things along with her clothing and armour, "How do we know this Strider is a friend of Gandalf? Or the woman from last night?" Merry said doubtful of the pair,

"I think a servant of the Enemy would look fairer and feel fouler." Frodo said about Aragorn, "He's foul enough, and what about the woman? Where is she anyway?" Merry said, looking around for Aryn, "Merry, Ayrn is the horse," Frodo said, his jaw dropped but it didn't last long as he was still worried about Aragorn and frowned, "We have no choice but to trust him." Frodo said moving ahead of his friends,

"But where is he leading us?" Sam asked lagging behind, "To Rivendell, Master Gamgee. To the House of Elrond." Aragorn said obviously having heard everything, "Did you hear that? Rivendell! We're going to see the Elves!" Sam said joyfully.

The Hobbits pause, pulling cookware and food from their packs. Ayrn having shifted back looked back at them. "Gentlemen, we do not stop 'till nightfall." she said, "What about breakfast?" Pippin asked, "We've already had it." Aragorn said coming up beside Ayrn and helping her with her gauntlet, "We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?" Pippin says as Aragorn and Aryn walks away. "Don't think he knows about second breakfast Pip."

Merry says patting his friend on the shoulder, "What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? They know about them don't they?" Merry smiles slightly, "I wouldn't count on it." From over the bushes, Ayrn tosses an apple and Merry catches it. He hands it to Pippin and pats him on the shoulder. Another apple flies through the air, hitting Pippin in the head. He looks up bewildered. "Pippin!" Merry calls when the distracted Hobbit wasn't following.

The party slowly make their way through increasingly rough country. It becomes darker and the forest gives way to flat marshland. All go up to their knees in the sludgy mire. The conditions are made worse by an army of midges which attack them unmercifully. Merry slaps despairingly at the cloud of pests hovering around him. "What do they eat — when they can't get Hobbit?" Behind him, Pippin stumbles and falls into the mire.

They make camp for the night. Aragorn manages to kill a deer which he brings back for their rations. The Moon rises as the hobbits fall asleep. Ayrn keeps watch by the fire. She hums a tune softly.

"Thorin!

(Thorin!
King Under The Mountain
Alas no more shall rule this domain
We brethren must go on without him
And ensure his death was not in vain.

In sleep eternal he will rest
With the Arkenstone upon his breast
Which evermore shall emit its light
To banish the darkness of unending night

And on his tomb is Orcrist laid
An Elven blade forged in Elder Days
To warn of foes and roving orcs
And ward off all evil from Erebor
