EDITED

"Listen to me." Sonia's mother said, smiling with teary eyes. "I know it must be...hard for you to go back...and see him with...someone else. But honey, that's not the end of the world, is it?"

"Hmm." Sonia shook her head and bit her lips.

"Right. It's not. Don't be heartbroken, I know it sure feels like it but I hope you don't blame
yourself or the man you love, for not loving you. You couldn't help but fall in love with him, right?"

"Ye...yes." Sonia nodded, tears streaming down her face.

"So, you can't control your own feelings, and also others can't control theirs. You may cry, curse yourself, curse him, and curse everyone. You may not eat properly and maybe drink a lot. You will give him so much power to hurt you and he won't even realize. I am not saying that your love is a waste. I am not saying he is not worthy of you or he doesn't deserve you or you him. But one day you will have to accept the fact. Again, I am not saying you forget him forever because that is not possible. He is your first love, he will always remain in your heart, like a nice warm memory."

Sonia wept quietly as her mother consoled her.

"But baby, life goes on. You lost your first love, you yet have to meet your true love. And no, this man is not your true love if he doesn't love you back. Maybe he will love you one day and you will be lucky to have your first love as your true love. Maybe someone else is waiting to be with you forever. Who knows?"

"I don't know...how this happened...Mom I-

"It's okay, you haven't done a crime by falling in love-

"I don't even know if it is love or not, all I know is that...it doesn't feel so good here." Sonia said and pointed at her heart with closed eyes.

"It's fine, it'll hurt for a bit. Just give it time. If your heart is broken, it will take time to heal and it is your responsibility and duty to give it time. Okay?" Her mother looked at her and Sonia nodded.

"Yes, I will be...very strong." Sonia said and wiped her tears. "I am not mad at him for loving someone else. I am not mad at myself for loving him. I am just...very sad but I will be fine. I promise. Thank you Mom, I love you."

"I love you too darling." Her mother said and hugged her daughter tightly, hoping to God that her daughter finds all the happiness she deserves.

"Gina, what are you doing here?" Drago frowned as he walked in his office the next morning.

"I have a surprise for you." Gina smiled and gestured at a file on his desk.

"What?" He said and walked to his table before reading what the file said.

Sonia Alexander

"What is this?" He asked, not understanding the purpose of the file in his hands.

"Well, when your mother told me about your new girl friend, I got a little worried about you. I mean, it's not like you to get so attached to someone, especially a stranger. So, I investigated her-

"There was no need. I already know everything about her." Drago said, suddenly feeling his anger rising up.

"I don't think you do. I contacted the person who researched her for you and what he got was nowhere near what I got to know. It's all in the file. Your girl friend is nothing but a big liar." Gina shrugged and walked out of the office with a smirk on her face.

Drago felt the file burn in his hands as he struggled to open it.

What lie?

What lie can Sonia say?

He opened the file with trembling hands, not knowing why he was so nervous to know whatever was in the file in front of him. As he opened it, the only page in the file almost fell and he caught it. His eyes widened as he read the contents.

Name: Alessandra G. Black

Father's name: Alexander Black

Mother's name: Sandra Stone Grey

Sister's name: Alexa G. Black

Alessandra Grey Black is the daughter of Jewel Tycoon Alexander Black and his wife, Sandra S. Grey, the inheritor of the famous steel empire, Grey Steels. She is the heiress of both the businesses along with her younger sister, Alexa G. Black, who is currently a music student at the Juilliard School. The family resides in New York, USA.

Alessandra is also a philanthropist and goes by the name Sonia Alexander in the field, something which only a handful of people know. Currently, she is in Italy to construct an orphanage.

She is also rumored to be dating her childhood friend and businessman Liam Carter since the last few years, but their relationship is yet unacknowledged. There is also a rumor that they may get married this year.

Drago blinked once, twice, thrice before putting the paper down and sitting. He couldn't believe it. He sat quietly as his mind raced with thoughts.

Sonia was not...Sonia? She was someone else? Why...why would she hide that information? She was not just from an affluent background, she is a billionaire and daughter of a world famous power couple.

And...she was dating someone...why didn't she tell him? He told her...all about Gina and she didn't. And marriage? She was getting married...was this the personal reason she had left so suddenly? Was she really getting married?

"I think I'm going mad!" Drago said to himself and wiped the thin layer of sweat which had appeared on his forehead. "How can she just get married to someone? All of a sudden? How could she marry someone when...when I...like her."

His throat went dry as realization hit him like a truck.
