This chapter is going to be the most confusing chapter you'll read , but trust me, I know what I'm doing, and soon enough you will understand, hopefully it won't confuse you as much.

Her voice was groggy when she finally speaks into the phone. I know, it is 2am in the morning and I woke her up from sleep. A little inconvenient , but it was urgent. There wouldn't be any other time later in the day. She picks at the third ring.

"Couldn't you do this at daylight" She says, sounding annoyed.

"That's not how you start a conversation, is it?" I reply, smirking inwardly at her annoyance.

"What could you possibly want at this time that couldn't wait till morning ? I've got work at eight am. You're being inconveniencing right-"

"Hey" I cut her off. "Calm down init, I've said it was urgent" I brush off her complaints, she's always complaining. "It's much better to talk right now"

She kisses her teeth. "You better start speaking boy"

I smile into the darkness of my cold room. Just the temperature I want it. I sit up in bed.

"Have you thought about our deal yet?" I say, and she whispers my name, in slight irritation. Yes, that deal was very important.

She sighs. "You've got to be fucking kidding me"

"Hey, language mama. You know its urgent, we're running out of time. If I were you I'd accept that deal right now"

"Don't you think my end of the deal is a bit greater than your own end?" She says. "I'm still thinking about it"

I straighten up. What the hell was she still thinking about when the deal was pretty clear? "Well, you should have thought about that when you said You'd do anything"

"What you want is pretty extreme, and we both know that."

I roll my eyes, this bitch got some goddamn nerve. "I don't think so, I think I was a bit generous. It's something you've done before, and you owe me. You definitely owe me a lot more than that but I am being generous."

"It's not that simple" She sighs again.

"Do you want the deal or not, stop acting like a damn child, for fucks sake. What about my own end of the deal, what do you think this is going to be fucking ABC's? I'm subjecting myself to a great risk here and you're whining like a baby. I'm gonna ask you again, deal or no deal?" I say, feeling like Noel Edmunds.

She says nothing for a while.

"Fine. Deal" She finally whispers.

I smile victoriously. "Good girl. I knew you were gonna listen to me. Now sit back and relax let me do my job, mami. You can go back to sleep now. Have a nice day at-"

Before I complete my sentence, I hear the three beeps singling the end of a FaceTime call. I laugh a bit, the girl is angry. That's my favourite pastime, annoying the hell out of her.

It was about 7pm. Isabelle was just coming in from the backyard where she went to pick up some laundry. It had been a series of pain all day , coming and going but she knew it wasn't anything to worry about. The rest of the Alabi's were downstairs in the living room, catching up on the Indian series.

She was just about to take the first step upstairs when she had paused. She felt very funny. And let out a gasp. It was nothing, definitely. She sat on the staircase, gasping. It can't be the baby, it was a few days early. Sweat beads form on her forehead, she starts breathing slowly.
