Jesy did not know what hour of the night it was. All she knew was that something was preventing her from sleeping.

I've never felt this way before. There was something like a pain at her chest that was keeping her up. What Namjoon and the others were saying kept bouncing around her head. Not healthy for her. She remembered Leigh being all manic because of her the day after she had found the girl under her bed and how tired Leigh's mom seemed when dealing with the girl after she passed out.

And then there was Leigh who kept feeling downcast because of everything Jesy put her through. Either that or she's so on top of the world that she doesn't have her senses. It was so sad to think of.

Jesy didn't want to be the thing that messed Leigh up. She wanted them to be able to hang out without any side effects. This situation . . . It'll get better. I'm a change in her life that she's gonna have to deal with. She'll just get new medicines. She turned her head to look into Leigh's room.

Her friend had just been laying there since she came home some hours ago with her mum. Leigh had gone to her therapist for a session after their little date and had apparently been pretty mute since after. Jesy had expected Leigh to address her mother about her possibly moving with her dad but nothing like that happened. The thought of losing the girl also had Jesy up. Was she being selfish over here?

I want what's best for her. But what if . . . she's what's best for me? Selfishness was dangerous. "Ugh! I'm not even lesbian!" She put both hands on her face. Why did Leigh have to be like this? Was she too perfect without it? What would have happened if Leigh had been a normal healthy girl? I don't know.

Maybe things would have been a flower petal path for them. Maybe they would have been married under her bed by now- wait what?

Jesy just moaned and turned to her side. Maybe I should take a break from her or something. Give her space? What if Leigh got hurt by her doing that? I don't know. I'll see about it tomorrow.

_____________

Jesy's eyes open slowly and she somehow expected to be looking into someone else's eyes. Just a wall.

She gave it her attention for some time before turning to her side exhaustedly. Just woke up. Why am I still tired? Her friends. She was blaming them for this too. They ruined everything.

She actually smiled when she saw that Leigh was up. What's she up to? Oh writing in her book. That's nice. Jesy still wanted to read what was on Leigh's mind of late. Did Leigh's mom ever do that? It would help to understand. Too bad the writing in the book usually means that she isn't feeling right.

Jesy did her Jesy thing and got her camera. She took a picture of Leigh and hoped shyly that Leigh would see the flash and say hi.

She saw the girl look up from her book but just with her eyes.

Jesy waved her hand energetically but calmed down because she probably looked silly. Don't embarrass yourself. That's her thing.

Leigh-Anne raised one hand and waved robotically before getting back to writing.

Jesy felt hurt. No good morning? Was it because of her friends yesterday? Should she apologize? She felt kind of shy about reaching out. I go through so many emotions with her that soon I might be bi-polar.

So Jesy got up and went right to her window. "Hey." She called.

Leigh-Anne looked up at her, this time actually positioning her head to face the window, stopping her writing.
