PoV: Shadow

I heard shifting in the hospital bed. I looked and found Sonic growling as he looked around. He most likely wasn't using his returned memories to figure things out. I didn't expect him to after what happened. He started biting at his IVs.

"Sonic," I placed a hand on his and he shot back, attempting to scratch me in the process. He drew no blood, I ignored the slight stinging, "Sonic, you're alright. I'm right here. It's me. It's Shadow."

"Aah!" He pushed away screaming. I pinned his hands down and he struggled. I took him in my arms, ignoring his constant scratching. Holding him until he calmed down, "Aaahhh!"

"What's going on here?" I nurse ran in.

"Don't touch him, you'll make it worse," I ordered.

"Its a medical emergency-"

"Shut. It." I glared.

She stayed quiet and Sonic started calming down. I placed the necklace around him to make sure he stayed calm. He started wincing, the pain medications were wearing off. His fingers were bruised purple. I couldn't see past his knuckles thanks to the cast.

"We need to continue monitoring him."

"No, you don't," I replied, gently scratching behind Sonic's ear as he noticed his cast, "Sonic don't bite that."

"He's insane, a danger to himself needs to be watched," she said.

"I'm already taking care of that. Just dispatch him, and I'll go. We don't need your help," I took a glance at his left hand, the flesh was torn and bleed from him tugging the IVs, "Sonic, do you remember me?"

He wasn't answering me. He started curling up like before. It was like he was back to the first day we brought him home.

"I've paged a doctor. He'll be here in a moment. I need you to let him go."

She took his hand. I knew she wasn't trying to hurt him, but he panicked and kicked anyways.

"Sonic. Sonic it's okay. Shhshsh~" I started rubbing his back and rocking him to calm him down.

"We brought the restraints," a few other nurses came it.

"Enough," Laura came in, "I'm not letting you stay him down. Sonic is perfectly healthy. I have his pain medications, just bandage his wound and we'll be on our way."

"Don't tell me how to do my job," the doctor came in and moved the nurse out of the way. He gave Sonic a shot and he stopped fighting. He collapsed in my arms.

"You tranquilized him!" I growled.

"Its the only way to give him the stiches he needed before he bleeds to death."

They cleaned his arm and stitched it up. Finishing it off with a bandage and tape. I held Sonic's hand as he laid there. His ankles had horrible bruises and cuts from the shackles. Laura's house wasn't safe anymore, neither was Laura.

"Agent Shadow," a G.U.N agent came in, "Laura, direct orders from the commander. All of you are under witness protection. Since everyone knows your names with your faces we can only move you. I suggest you go home and pack. Sonic will be transported first. You two will leave an hour later."

"I'm leaving with Sonic," I growled.

"Those aren't his orders," the agent said.

"Well for the last few months, the commands takes orders from me of it includes myself or especially Sonic. We leave together. Or you're all out of the job."

"Yes, agent Shadow."

I picked up Sonic in my arms as soon as the doctor was finished. I had Laura place her hand on my shoulder, "Chaos Control."

We were back at her house. G.U.N agents packed up everything. I packed a travel bag of things to keep Sonic busy and calm. I changed him into his favorite nightgown and wrapped up in a blanket. I carried him to the truck. Laura followed me after getting her own travel bag. We were moving again. This time, if Ecir found us, he'd have to deal with an army before going near me, to get to Sonic. Sonic, if I get the chance, I'll slit that man's throat myself.
