PoV: Sonic

I woke up to find a bright dot. The window showed the night sky. I liked watching the sky. Shadow was on the ground. I never did get a chance to look at him. I climbed down to look, he slept in front of me all the time. I played with the white over his paws. He had white on his chest too. I could hear his heart, it was... soothing, I think that's the word. I laid down on him, warm... I held him... I wanted to stay there all night.

PoV: Shadow

  Sonic woke up on the middle of the night, I had no idea how that led up to now. Sonic fell asleep on my chest, he was holding onto me. He was only playing his my hand a moment ago, now I was the closed I had been to him in weeks.

  I gulped as I slowly put my hand on his back. He tensed and relaxed. I took him into my arms. I felt like crying. I chaos controlled us onto his bed. He was sound asleep now that we were somewhere comfortable. When I heard him start to purr in my arms I lost it.

PoV: 3rd Person

  Shadow covered his face with one hand. Sonic taking his left-hand prisoner as he nuzzled into the white fur of the ebony's chest. He held his tongue and tensed his breath, crying every so quietly that he was being shown affection from his beloved. Weeks, almost three months, of practically no progress in his condition, now Sonic rested quietly beside the love he had forgotten.

"I love you..." Shadow whispered, Sonic holding him closer now.

  Sonic woke for a second; falling back asleep, ignoring the arms around him for the comfort. Catching a glimpse of Shadow's tears, Sonic licked the tears from a tan cheek as he was half asleep. That motion made Shadow cry harder. He held Sonic tighter. Sonic didn't care, he just fell back to sleep when he was done with Shadow's cheek.

"I'll protect you," Shadow kissed his ear.

  Shadow finally fell asleep after weeks of sleepless nights. The sound of Sonic's purring soothing him to sleep.

--- Morning ---

  The house's morning was all the same, only Sonic didn't go into his box until Shadow woke up. Then he was back in the box for the rest of the day.

PoV: Sonic

  Where did you go? I looked around for Shadow, he was gone.

"Sonikku, what are you looking for?" Pink was in front of me.

  Where's Shadow?

"You're so cute when you peek out of your box," it pulled out the green treat I got the other day. I liked those, the felt good to bite, "Let's brush your teeth okay."

"Amy don't be weird," Red stated.

"I just want Sonic healthy. We should get him some more treats," pink gave me the treat.

  I laid down and started bitting it. I just felt... clean after eating it. I woke up feeling clean some days too. Shadow came back I showed him my treat. The white thing was on my box, I bit it.

"He's doing that a lot."

"So long as he's happy I don't mind," Shadow said, "he's never cut to blood and he doesn't leave scars. He's just playing."

"You think he'll play with our hands too?"

  Hands? Is that what this is called? I pushed my head between the edge of my box and his hand.

"He's letting you touch him...."

  I felt him scratch my ear, it left amazing.

"How did you get him to do that?"

"He's doing it on his own. I haven't done anything," Shadow was petting me in the best way.

  I like this... I like it a lot.
