I just dropped Rae off at school and sure enough my ex wife is her teacher

I feel super bad for Rae having to deal with this. She's been through so much at such a young age and by the hands of this woman.

I don't hate many people but I despise that woman. Call me an awful person I don't care she hurt Rae so much

And for what a few drunk moments. She decided that drinking was better than her daughter

Yes we had Rae at a very young age and I agree it was a lot to deal with at only 17 but still that's not an excuse

As soon as I get home from dropping her off I fall back on the couch and cry

I really need someone to comfort me

I get out my phone and text Jonah

D- please come over I need to talk to someone

J- what's wrong? is everything okay with Rae?

D- I can't say it over text just if you can come over please do

Jo- I'm on my way

After only 3 minutes I get a knock on my door

I wipe my tears and go to open the door which reveals Jonah

"Dani what's wrong" Jonah asks

"Just come in"

I let him in and we go to the couch

"What's going on?"

"A-Alexis is her teacher"

"WHAT!!! ALEXIS LIKE ALCOHOLIC ALEXIS" Jonah yells which is extremely out of character for him

I slightly laugh at the nickname we gave her but my laughter quickly stops

"Yes that Alexis"

"Oh my god I can't believe it"

"I can't either Rae was so happy and excited at the diner and then when she got there and saw her, her face got so sad it broke my heart"

"Diner?" Jonah says clearly trying to distract me from everything

"Yeah I brought her to the diner you introduced to her for breakfast" I tell him

"Oh who was your waiter"

"Kayleigh" I say with a slight smile at the thought of her

"Oh I love her she's so nice. She works with only her grandparents but they're moving soon so it'll just be her"

"You could write a book on this girl what else do you know" I ask

"Well she's super single and hasn't had a boyfriend since when we dated in middle school. Uh we broke up cause we were going to separate high schools but still kept in touch. She loves children. Her parents died before she could go to college. Her dream is to own a major restaurant as the main chef. Um what else oh she lives in this really small apartment with like one room. She spends all her time in the diner. And I'm really her only friend."

"Oh that's a lot. Was she a good girlfriend?" I ask out of curiosity

"Why do you like her?"

"No no I'm just wondering"

"Hm sure anyways yeah she was the best girlfriend ever. She was nice to everyone, always complemented me, even payed for our dates. All she has is love for everyone and always gives it away. Even when we would have our rare fights she always listened to my point of view and never raised her voice. Anyone would be lucky to have her. Hell, even id go out with her again and I don't even want a relationship"

"Wow she seems amazing" I say day dreaming about being with her

"She is. Honestly, Dani you guys would be so great together"

"I don't know I mean she was definitely nice but-"

"But?"

"Well nothing really"

"Listen I know you literally just met her but you should go for it and ask her out sometime. She deserves someone to love her as much as she loves everyone. And I honestly think that's you."

"Really?"

"Yes really. I have to go now but please promise me you'll talk to her and get to know her I can give you her number if y-"

"I have it" I smile

"Dang Dani making moves already"
