Today is me and Kayleigh's one year anniversary and I am taking her on a really romantic date where I am going to propose to her.

I got a really pretty ring and I know she is going to say yes.

Two months ago her grandparents retired and moved down south to Florida leaving her with the diner.

The diner is currently closed as she looks for workers. But I know she's going to do it and it's going to be amazing.

Also she got some random surgery where she can actually eat and it's amazing. As soon as she got it she ate everything she wanted to it was cute

She is still as nice to Rae and they are probably even closer.

Speaking of Rae she is now in 2nd grade and has a best friend named Ashley.

I just realized 9 year olds aren't in 2nd grade just go with it

Her mother is no longer her teacher and she is so happy. It's probably a mixture of Kayleigh and no more of that with her

Me and Kayleigh had sex for the first time and it was absolutely amazing it was slow and sweet and passionate.

I want to be with her for the rest of my life.

"Happy Anniversary" I whisper waking her up

She flutters her eyes open and smiles seeing me

"Happy anniversary" she whispers back

"You're pretty in the morning" I tell her

She smiles and reaches up to kiss me

"Tonight we're going on a really romantic date to celebrate. I bought you something really pretty that you can wear if you want"

"Oh no I didn't buy you anything. I thought we weren't doing that"

"Don't worry we weren't I just saw the dress and thought of you so I got it"

"Aw thank you but I wish I had something for you"

"The only thing I need from you is your love and maybe a kiss"

"Oh you're getting way more than a kiss"

She kisses me slow and passionate and it becomes very heated very fast

She starts to remove my shirt when the door opens

We quickly stop and Rae jumps on the bed

"What were you guys doing" she asks

"Nothing" we both say at the same time

"Hmm I bet" she sassily says walking out of the room

"That kid is something different" Kayleigh says

"Yup"

"When will you teach her about sex. I mean we are always either touching, making out, or having sex she is going to find out one of these days."

"I'll wait till she asks. I don't want to ruin her childhood"

We drop Rae off at my parents house and head to the romantic private park I reserved that is specifically for proposals (disguised as a normal park to not ruin the surprise of course)

She looks beautiful in the dress I bought and I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with her

All I need is her to say yes

"You are going to be amazed" I tell her

"Oh really what are you planning"

"You aren't ready"

We get to the park and luckily for me she has to go to the bathroom.

"Okay so she's just in the bathroom now she'll be out in any minute whatever you need to prove it's me I'll give you" I tell the person standing outside of the private area

They ask for my ID and I give it to them. As soon as I give it to them they leave and we can enter when she gets back

She gets back and we walk in

"Wow" she whispers looking around

The park is extremely romantic with candles every few steps . There are also flower petals everywhere. it looks beautiful

"All of this for a one year wow"

"No all this for you. I love you so much"

"I love you so much more"

"Kayleigh... you have made this last year the best year of my life. 5 years ago I was in the worst relationship of my life. Taking care of Rae was hard. I was all alone. But then I went to your diner and I met you and I fell in absolute love. It was literal love at first sight go read my story love at first sight k? k. "What's the question" she whispers

"Will you marry me?"

I go on one knee and she nods and kisses me

"Of course I'll marry you"

I slip the ring on her finger and we get up sharing a long loving kiss.

"If I knew this was happening I would've worn waterproof mascara" she laughs wiping her tears

"You're so cute"

"I just realized this means I'm finally going to be Rae's step mom"

"I kinda feel betrayed I mean you're happy over Rae what about being with me"

"Well that's just a plus"
