She opens the gift and gasps after seeing

"AHHH MY OWN PHONE. KAYLEIGH YOURE THE BEST" she squeals jumping and giving me a hug

"Wait a minute... a phone?" Daniel asks

"Yeah I figured she'd want to be able to text her friends and if she ever needs us for anything she can easily call"

"She can use another persons phone"

"But dad everyone gets a phone at 10"

"How many of your friends have one"

"All of them and the most important one Jace"

"Of course she can it was my gift. I already set it up. You have a phone number and I put mine and your dad's numbers in your contacts"

After really setting up Rae's phone we texted her friends parents and got their numbers

She's now texting them and I'm slowly starting to regret getting her this phone

Before she would talk and hang out with me and Daniel but now she's just on her phone

"At least now I don't have to hear her complaining about a phone"
