The party just ended and they are at the door about to leave when his mom pulls me aside

"Can I talk to you for a second"

"Yeah sure what is it"

"I just wanted to say I'm so happy that Daniel found someone who clearly loves and cares so much about him and Rae so thank you"

"Of course. He's really amazing. And Rae she's honestly my favorite person ever"

"That makes me feel so good. I see that he loves you too. After the divorce I never would've thought he'd be as happy as he is now. You could tell his smiles were always fake and even Rae she would try and hide that she was sad. But now his smiles are so genuine and I never see Rae sad"

I start to tear up at what she said but before the tear falls I wipe it away

"Are you crying" she asks confused

"Yeah cause it makes me feel good that I make them happy. Daniel and Rae mean the whole entire world to me and I love them with everything in me"

"We have to go" Daniels dad calls from the door stopping our conversation

"Well I'll let you go now but again thank you. I hope one day I'll call you my daughter-in-law" she rubs my shoulder and leaves the house

"Hey what was that about" Daniel asks coming up to me

"Don't worry about it. But you know I love you right"

"Yeah I know why"

"No but you don't understand. I love you with every single bone and vein in my whole body. You mean everything to me"

"You mean everything to me too. Now I really want to know what my mom said to you"

"Nothing bad she just said how she can tell you're finally happy. And I'm glad I can be the person to make you happy"

"Well you make me the happiest person ever"

Soon Rae runs over and hugs my legs

"Kayleigh are you crying"

I kneel down to her and hug her for real

"Yes I was thinking about how I love you and your daddy a lot"

"Oh well we love you too. Don't tell him but i love you more than he loves you"

"I'm sure of it"

Daniel kneels down and hugs us

I look up at him and he looks at me with loving eyes

"What I wanted to join the hug"

"I love you" I whisper

He kisses me and whispers it back

"Can we go to bed?" Rae asks

"Of course"

We get up and head to sleep

"Rae can me and Kayleigh sleep together tonight. I know you've been sleeping with her so far but I need my girlfriend tonight"

"Sure But I get her tomorrow"

"Of course"

Rae goes to her room and me and Daniel go to ours

I get ready to sleep and I lay down with Daniel

He kisses me multiple times before pulling me into a deep, long, kiss

"I love you so much baby" Daniel says

"I love you much more"

"I can't believe I found the love of my life in a diner"

"I can't believe I found the love of MY life in my diner"

"These last couple of months of my life have been amazing all thanks to you"

"And I will make every month of your life amazing"

We kiss one last time and fall asleep in each other's embraces
