It's been 6 months and me and Kayleigh's relationship is wonderful

She recently moved in after selling her apartment to get money to pay for her grandparents retirement

She has one more paycheck and then she will fully have paid for them

She is still amazing to Rae and Rae is definitely obsessed with her.

Today is Rae's birthday and we are having a small party. We're only having my parents and my siblings over. Kayleigh has to work and she might not get to the party on time.

I've told my family a lot about her and they seem excited to meet her.

I'm on the phone with my mom and she is asking me a bunch of questions about our relationship. It's annoying but im still answering the questions.

"You guys aren't having sex with Rae home are you?"

"Mom!!! We aren't even having sex at all."

"Well you never know"

"I can promise you right now that we would never think about doing that with Rae home"

"If Rae wasn't in the house would you"

"MOM!!!"

"What!!! Anyways I can't wait to meet her she seems nice"

"She is. she is super sweet towards Rae and acts like Rae is her best friend. You're going to love her. Did you know she used to date Jonah?"

"No i didn't. When?"

"Middle and high school"

"Cool. Well I have to go now I'll see you later tonight"

"Okay bye mom I love you"

"I love you too"

She hangs up and Kayleigh walks downstairs

"Who was that?" She asks putting her hair up for work

"Well seeing as I said 'bye mom I love you' I'm guessing it was my mom"

"You don't gotta get all sassy"

"I beg to differ."

"Well I'm leaving your sassy ass"

"Wait what"

"I'm going to work don't worry."

"thank god I thought you meant you were breaking up with me"

"Oh Daniel you can't get rid of me that easy." She says messing with my hair

"Just go" I slap her hands away and fix my hair

"Bye"

"Wait. You didn't kiss me" I pout

"How could I ever forget that"

She smiles and walks over kissing me

"I'll be home around 7 don't open her gifts without me I have to get her something"

"The party's not until 7:30 you won't miss anything"

It's lunch time and I decide to surprise Kayleigh at her diner.

It's not really a big surprise but she isn't expecting me so it's enough

I get to the diner and her grandmother is at the front

"Hey Daniel" she says when she sees me

"Hi can you do me a favor and not tell Kayleigh I'm here I want to surprise her"
