I was about to walk out the door when I heard mom's quiet voice. "Khloe?" She said softly and I turned around. "We need to talk."

After Hayden and his family left I knew mom would be angry at me because of my behaviour and the way I acted around them. I honestly didn't think I was that rude. Hayden insulted my abilities to mentor transfer students. I think he's the real one that should be getting punished. "I'm sorry mom." I glanced down, "I know I can be..."

"Rude?" She blurted out and I shrugged my shoulders hesitantly.

"Well... I wouldn't necessarily call it rude because Hayden started it first—"

"I don't want to hear it, Khloe." Mom held up her hand and I stopped talking. "I hope you really are sorry because since it's Hayden's first day at school, you are going to apologize to him."

My jaw dropped. "No way!" I exclaimed. "I don't see why I have to apologize first." I was already being punished by Mrs. Richardson. No matter how many times I pleaded she wouldn't let me quit that stupid mentoring program. I can't believe I thought that it would actually be a great idea. "I already have to spend the whole day with him."

Mom shrugged her shoulders in a nonchalant matter. "It's final Khloe." She said firmly, "Go get your sister ready for school." She turned around and yelled, "Alicia!"

Alicia came running downstairs and Andrew walked lazily behind her. "Good morning Andrew," I said and he looked up at me with a smile. "Come on, Alicia." I held my hand out for her to take. "I have to drive you to school now." Alicia nodded her head excitedly and ran outside.

I wish I was that excited to go to school.

Mom gave me a quick hug. "Have a good day at school Khlo." She smiled.

"Thanks, mom... but I'm still not apologizing to Hayden," I said firmly crossing my arms over my chest. "I don't believe I did anything wrong."

Mom laughed loudly and I tilted my head at her in confusion. "Oh yes, you will, one way or another."

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"They're coming over again for dinner next weekend." A big smile spread across her face and before I could even speak she spoke again. "Alicia is waiting for you, bye sweetheart." Was the last thing mom said before she closed the door in my face.

I backed away from my house dumbfounded. Hayden and his family were coming over for dinner again? I truly do hope that this doesn't become a regular thing. "Come on Khlo!" Alicia was whining at this point and I turned around. "Open the car door!"

"Okay," I sighed, "I'm coming."

"So, how was it?" Kiera slowly glanced over at me and I tilted my head at her in confusion. "Oh," Kiera sighed, rolling her eyes. "You know exactly what I'm talking about. Quit acting so surprised."
