I was happy, ecstatic, confused, and a little scared all at once. There had to be at least a million emotions running throughout my body.

It was weird because Hayden and I had finally became honest with each other. I think we both just got to a point where pretending like neither of us had feelings for each other was exhausting. I just realized that living honestly was much better than hiding your true feelings, but everyone already knew why I didn't come clean.

It was because I had trust issues.

As stupid and childish as that sounds, it was all true. I was scared to let anyone else into my heart because I always hated the feeling of being heartbroken.

Hayden and I were so different growing up.

He was loud, friendly, and very welcoming. While on the other hand, I was very quiet, sweet, and reserved, but you know how the saying goes...

"Oh my god!" Kiera squealed beside me. "He said all of that and then kissed you? That's so romantic." She smiled at me warmly. "You have no idea how happy I am for you."

"Thank you so much." I laughed lightly as I wrapped my arms around Kiera's body. "You've always been so supportive."

She nodded her head. "I know I can be a little hard on you, but I truly just want what's best for you."

"Of course." I smiled brightly.

After Hayden kissed me, we went back to school and continued on with our day. Of course, I knew my mother would be very angry at me for skipping the whole day, so I went to class.

Hayden and I also had last period together which was photography, and so we laughed and talked, but the whole time Yasmin was looking at us like she was beyond confused. So as soon as Hayden turned around to talk to one of his friends I leaned in closer towards Yasmin and whispered in her ear that Hayden had kissed me.

Yasmin could barely control her excitement.

Her eyes were wide and she couldn't stop laughing, but as soon as Hayden turned back around, she stopped laughing but there was still a wide grin on her face.

Hayden glanced over at me, but I had shrugged my shoulders as he rolled his eyes and laughed lightly.

After school, Hayden hugged me and told me that he was happy, and then that was it.

"So," Kiera nudged my shoulder. "When are you guys going to officially go on your first date?" Kiera grinned widely.

"I have no idea." I laughed, only because of how excited she was for me. "I appreciate how excited you are for me, Kiera."

"I'm always happy for you!" Kiera lifted her chin. "Anything for my bestie."

I laughed. "Where's Yasmin? Didn't you drive her to school?"
