Chapter 14: Unexpectedly Here

"ROMEO!!" I screamed. I had really sharp stomach pains. Romeo jumped from his sleep and looked at me. "What happened?" He asked. "Call the ambulance!!" I had a tight grip on the covers. He quickly dialed the ambulance and they rushed over. I screamed on the way to the hospital. "What is she having?" The driver asked Romeo. "Twins." he answered. "Congratulations." "Thank you." Once we got to the hospital, I was strapped into a wheel chair and strolled into room 103. They put me on the hospital chair and the nurse told Romeo he had to leave the room. "But those are my babies she's about to give birth to!" He yelled. I was screaming so much I could barely speak.

"Her water is breaking!" One of the doctor's yelled out. "Alright, on 3 I need you to push." The nurse instructed me. "1....2....3!" "UGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed louder as I was pushing. The doctors and nurses were so into work, they didn't seem to notice Romeo standing beside me. Then I heard a baby crying. "A girl!" The nurse squealed. "You gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She's beautiful." She added. I smiled. "What's her name?" The doctor asked. "Ivory. Ivory Marie Alvarez Santos." I answered. The doctor smiled. They took Ivory to get her cleaned up and put her in her little hospital bed next to mine. She calmed down and was silent as a mouse. "Seems like another baby wants to come out!" The nurse said. The pain striked me again. I screamed and without warning I pushed. " A baby boy, a beautiful and healthy baby boy!" Man that nurse's voice gets on my nerves. She sounds like a mouse. "His name is?" "Alex Daniel Alvarez Santos." Romeo answered. Daniel was put into his little hospital bed next to Ivory and Romeo went over to them. I heard Ivory crack up when she saw her Daddy. "Aw, que linda! Babe, she's laughing!" Romeo chuckled. I smiled and giggled a bit. "You okay?" "Yeah, I'm still feeling some pain down there though." "It's alright. The Doctors say you can leave in 2 weeks. I'll be here with you though for whatever you need." He kissed my forehead and my lips. "Damn, you just gave birth and you still look good." He teased. I laughed and it hurt.

My Dad stopped by to come and see the babies the day after. "God bless them. They're beautiful. Hijo, por favor, take care of Alex, and Ivory. Y a mi hija tambien." Papi said. He looked sick. "Pa, are you okay?" I was worried. "Si, corazon. Estoy bien." He coughed. He came and kissed my cheek and hugged me. "I'll come again tomorrow. I love you." "I love you too, Pa." He left. Many other family members came to see the babies. And by surprise, Ashley came to see them too. "I came to see my niece and nephew." She said flatly to me. I rolled my eyes and watched her closely. Romeo was guarding the babies and making sure that the Devil didn't put her venom inside of them. "They're beautiful." She told us. "Thank you. You can leave now." I snapped. She glared at me. "I could care less about you but I care about my niece and nephew." "Says the Devil that destroyed my life ever since." She rolled her eyes. "I have no time for this." And she left. I was suspicious because of her 'innocent' act. She's a trick.

After two weeks of being in the hospital, we were brought home. Romeo and I welcomed our babies to our Kingdom house. Ivory loved it but Daniel looked like he could care less 😂. I put Ivory in her baby pink crib while Romeo put Daniel in his royal blue crib. Ivory's blanket said "Princess" and Daniel's blanket said "Prince". "I'm so glad you gave birth to them. Now we have a family." Romeo said to me. I smiled and we kissed.

---------- 8 Months Later ----------

September. Romeo and I made it to September. Ivory and Alex have started walking and Romeo is teaching Daniel (I almost forgot) how to play with a baby toy guitar. It's adorable! "Now repeat after Daddy, Lil Man. 'Si te invito a una copa, y me aserco a tu boca, si te robo un besito, a ver te enojas con migo?'" I watched Daniel, "A bah bah!" Was what he sang! 😂😂 Too cute! Ivory started laughing. I swear she's a little giggle monster. Romeo was laughing too. "Alright, good Lil Man. Now, Mommy's favorite part. 'How bout if you and I me and you.. Baliamos Batchata? Y luego you and I me and you.. Terminamo' en la cama?" "Mmm bah bah a bah!" "Yes! We already got ourselves el principe de la batchata. Right Lil Man?" Daniel attempts to clap his hands but he misses them. Rochely came by later on in the day with Janelly and Christian to come and see the babies. "Titi, Ivory look like a doll." Janelly told me. I nodded. Everyone was always telling me that. It was true. With her pretty dark brown eyes and natural pink lips, of course she looks like a doll!

The week after, Romeo took me out to eat at a 5 star restaurant called, "La Belle". He looked me up and down in my white mini dress. "You're always surprising me." He tells me smoothly. I blush. "This place is beautiful." "I remember when I always took my mom here for her birthday. She loves it here!" "The food smells good too." "Yeah. Mi amor?" "Yes Bae?" "Idalis, we've been together for about almost a year now. Maybe 10 months or so? Baby, you gave birth to our two beautiful twins, Alex Daniel and Ivory. I wouldn't want to change nothing about that. During the week, I was planning the wedding with Rochely. I told Pa, I told Hector, I told a whole bunch of my family. And out of the kindness of my heart, I invited Mami. I also got in touch with Romeo's side of the family. They all said they were coming. Especially the boys, Mikey, Lenny,Max and Henry. Everything was settled. We had paid for everything, and all I needed was a day to get ready. The wedding is in 5 days! I can't wait!

"It is time to say your vows." The pastor said to us. It was our big day. I was in my white strapless gown, and Romeo in his suit. Janelly was our flower girl. "Idalis I-" Romeo began. Just before he began a heard a voice sing the words, "Baby girl don't do it, no lo hagas, Bien lo sabes, que este hombre no te ama. Te recuerdas de mi? Mi amor, verdad que si?
