CHARACTERS

Oh boy.

Characters.

Deep breaths, deep breaths. It's all going to be fine. All I have to do is look at the characters in billionaire books. It can't hurt. RIght?

🔘 The Billionaire/Boss is a man who only ever cares about money. That, or he's just downright arrogant that he's rich and looks down on our main girl. Usually, he's a self-made man by the age of twenty-five. (Like, how is that even possible? Give me your secrets!) And he usually has a bad history with his dad, so you can't even say he inherited his company.

Anyway, the boss is this arrogant jerkwad that absolutely hates on poor Tessa for no reason. He's supposed to be the CEO, yet he hates his secretary because...why does he hate her again? He's so childish when he's supposed to be running a full business filled with people who probably want to take advantage of him. Like, what?

Honestly, this guy is just like the Alpha in werewolf stories. Arrogant, a jerk, hella moody, and angry. Why is he so angry all the time? Why does he fire employees like it's nothing when they could probably sue him for it?

And he also doesn't believe in love but promptly falls in love with Tessa. Like, I'd get it if he says he doesn't believe in love at first sight because even I don't believe in that. But surely he must know that love exists. If not love between a couple, then love between friends, love between a parent and child, etc. He usually does have someone he has a soft spot for (no, not Tessa), like a butler who's been with him since birth or something like that. That's love. Maybe I'm reading too much into things. That's the Literature nerd in me. :P

The bad boy trope also comes back into play because the billionaire has a tragic past. Is that what it takes to become a billionaire? Because if that's the case, my dog died and it was tragic, so I want my money now.

Maybe it doesn't work for girls because Tessa usually has a tragic past too, and she lives in a dump.
