Anyways, I'm developing a fantasy cliche chapter that might take a while to come out, but I just really wanted to share this one with all of you. I saw this on FB,

and I'm realising how true this is. Why is it that every time there is a girl and boy partnership in books and movies they are expected to start having some type of romance?
I mean, I guess there's nothing wrong with shipping them, but I feel like romance is shoving away all the other types of relationships people can have. There are so many different types of love, but romance is always the go-to anytime love is mentioned.
Idk. I just find it kind of sad that people expect romance to develop just because two people who have chemistry are the main characters in a novel.
I kinda wish there was a genre for friendship like there is for romance. Is that even a thing? Like, I guess slice of life might be the closest genre to it, but I just think as much could be done with a friendship plot/subplot as a romance one.
This rant is short-lived, and the main reason I even created this chapter was to share that image with you guys, so that's that. Sorry this isn't as in-depth as my usual rants. I think I've just burned out or something.

Anyway, I'll try to get that fantasy chapter out as soon as possible, but it's been sitting incomplete as a draft for over a month now. Hopefully I'll get some motivation to finish it up lol.
