"Escanor could you help with that please?" Merlin asked while trying to reach for the a bottle at the top of the shelfs.
The tall blond man easily reached for the top and took it effortlessly.
"Is this it?"
"Yeah, thanks"
Escanor POV:
I got two tickets for the festival fair for tomorrow. This is not the normal tickets but the exclusive VIP ones which includes a private dinner on one of the most prestigious restaurants. Would she enjoy it? I don't know how she would react with this. Hope she would accept so we can have a proper date, without disturbance. Oh how do I have these tickets? I had received them as a gift by a nobleman who was coincidentally saved by me during the terror attack on the market.
"M-merlin...do you have a minute?"
"Yeah?"
Why am I stuttering again? Damn...this is so nerve wrecking...
"You know the fair tomorrow? I got these tickets and it includes a dinner...do you want to go?"
Merlin stared at me like she knows what I wanted to asked her.
"Hmmm... do you know that you have to be a noble to attend that dinner party? From whom did you get those tickets from?"
"What! I didn't know that...that nobleman sure tricked me..."
Merlin gave a slight chuckle as she took those tickets and burnt them.
"Wha...t"
"Let's have a proper date and not go to those exclusive dinner dates...I prefer having a dinner normally..." Merlin said.
My eyes went wide. Her words sound like sweet music to my ears. I simply went and hugged her.
Later at night
The kingdom was bustling more than usual as the citizens were celebrating the festival . People were dancing, shouting , drinking and even some fights were going on. The kingdom was peaceful as usual, but there stood a nervous bartender in front of his bar.
The tall blond was standing outside the bar, eagerly awaiting Merlin for their dinner date.
"Damn...sure is cold tonight. Or maybe because I am too nervous?" Escanor nervously rubs both of his hands.
"Sorry to keep you waiting..."
The blond man turned around and was entranced at his date. She was extremely beautiful, her hair tied back elegantly with casual black clothing. He had never seen her wearing another clothing besides her usual garments. His mind went blank, not knowing what to say to her.
