After school, Alice and Eliza found themselves at the Whyte Wyrm, the official hangout for Serpents on the Southside of town. Eliza stood behind the bar counter, washing up the counters as she served some older Serpents their drinks.

Desiring to go home, Eliza turned to Hog Eye, a Serpent that was a few years older than her. His father owned the bar and the boy spent much of his time bartending at the bar, "Hog Eye," Eliza spoke up, causing the elder Serpent to turn to her, "I'm gonna head home. See you tomorrow." She informed him and Hog Eye nodded, watching as Eliza walked out from behind bar counter and made her way over to where Alice stood with a few other Serpents their age.

"Ready to go shopping for dresses?" Eliza asked her best friend with a smile on her face.

Alice smiled back at Eliza, nodding her head before the two of them headed outside, "Greendale Mall?" Eliza asked Alice curiously.

"Sounds great," Alice replied, smiling as the two girls headed over to Eliza's bike. Eliza climbed on before handing Alice her extra helmet. Alice placed it on her head before climbing in the back of Eliza, securing her arms around the girl's waist.

And with that, Alice and Eliza headed off to the Greendale mall, in search of their dresses for the back to school formal. Alice didn't even really want to go to the dance, but Eliza begged her to, saying that she wouldn't go if Alice didn't.

________

The following night, Eliza stood in front of the mirror, looking over what she was wearing for the dance. She wore a green plaid spaghetti strap dress with a black long sleeve shirt under it. Her hair was down and curled a bit. She wore a bit of mascara and a lighter color lipstick than she usually wore. And of course, she wore her usual doc martens instead of dressy shoes.

There was a knock on the door, causing Eliza to quickly exit her room and walked into the living room. She opened the door to find FP standing before her, a smile on his face. He wore a white, long sleeve button down dress shirt with black pants. He wore a black tie, which Eliza couldn't help but laugh at since it was clearly a clip on. FP looked Eliza up and down, a smile forming on his lips, "You look great, Eliza," He complimented her and Eliza smiled.

"You don't look so bad yourself, Forsythe," She replied as she went to go exit the trailer.

"What? No Serpent jacket?" FP asked the girl confused. At all times, Eliza was wearing some type of article of clothing on it that had a Serpent logo patch on it. Eliza had learned to sew just so she could add it to your clothes on her own.

"Nope," Eliza smiled, shaking her head, "This is a dance, FP. I'm not going to wear my Serpent jacket. Plus, how am I supposed to dance in that?"

FP couldn't help but laugh, holding out his arm, "There's no denying that. Shall we?"

Eliza nodded, locking arms with FP before they headed in the direction of Riverdale High.

_____

Once handing their tickets to the people at front in charge of the formal, Eliza and FP entered the gym to find it decorated and Forever Young by Alphaville playing through the speakers. FP smiled as he turned to Eliza to see her looking around at everything in amazement, "Have you never been to a school dance before, Eliza?" He asked her curiously and Eliza immediately turned to him, shaking her head.

"No, I actually haven't," She informed him, "I've been asked a couple times, but I always rejected them. Never been the school dance type of gal."

"I think I'm starting to feel honored," FP commented with a smile on his face, "I mean, I get to be your first date to your first dance." He paused, letting out a sigh, "Maybe they'll be more firsts to come between us."
