a few weeks later.

although jihyo was still under training, she had shown quite a drastic improvement. not even a month yet she had already impressed her co-workers, and she'd shyly reply that it was because of the training by the ceo himself.

everything was under control until...

"you WHAT?!" jihyo jolted upwards from her seat, hands pushed on the table. she couldn't believe what she had heard from the girl infront of her.

"you heard that right, i'm leaving." jeongyeon stated, munching on her food. the rest of her friends could only watch with shocked expressions. "why so sudden?" mina spoke out, her eyebrows knit together in confusion.

jeongyeon stopped eating, "well, the other branch offered a higher position, and who was i to say no to an opportunity. come on, it's not like i'm leaving you guys forever, i'll still visit you guys when i have the time." she assured, before resuming her meal.

jihyo, who is an employee for barely a month felt rather sad at her senior's departure. "that's a bummer. we have only met for about a month." she sulked, poking at the vegetables that were in her tray.

sana, who was extremely quiet throughout the whole meal, suddenly came up with a bright idea. she clapped her hands together, earning the attention of her friends.

"that's it!" she exclaimed, and the others just stared at her. "we shouldn't be sad over such thing. let's celebrate tonight!" sana threw her hands up in the air.

the rest just glanced at each other, before slowly agreeing to the idea. "i suppose you're right." mina responded. the group talked about where they would celebrate, and settled with a restaurant near the company.

lunch time came to an end, and soon the girls were back to their own departments. jihyo was now sat on her chair, wondering what excuse should she use to skip training for today.

"lying would not be good..." she muttered, typing data into her computer. "it's not like he'll be angry, she's his secretary." she assured, nodding at herself. jihyo came to a conclusion that she'll just tell him about the celebration for jeongyeon.

hours passed by, and soon enough it was time to clock out. jihyo's told her friends to go without her, as she still has to ask permission first. the rest agreed, and went out to go to the restaurant the group had planned on celebrating.

jihyo was now left alone with him again. it had been days since they get left alone in the office, but she still can't get used to it. the past really did leave an impact on her.

knock knock. she lightly hit the door twice. jihyo gulped as she slowly opened the door, seeing her boss stand before the window, glancing at the sight below.

"hello?" she called, and he was quick to turn around. "jihyo. hey, come in." he gestured, but jihyo was quick to decline. "ah no, it's okay. i just wanted to ask if tonight's training can be called off? jeongyeon wanted to celebrate her promotion." the girl spoke, looking down as she was too embarrassed for speaking fast.

"jeongyeon? i see. it's fine, you should go join them. i'll just stay here for a few things." he replied, and jihyo's mind went blank for a second. did he just agree?

her face lit up as she gathered the courage to look at him, "thank you!" jihyo exclaimed, before hurriedly heading out of the office.

yoongi just watched jihyo until her figure started to disappear, before glancing at the window once again to ponder.

that smile...

"thank you thank you thank you!" the girl squealed, hugging his body tight. once she pulled out, she let out the brightest smile.

although her face wasn't clear, although yoongi had no idea who she was, he knew, for sure, that she's the one.
his first love.

yoongi violently shook his head. what was that memory? he remembers nothing about that one. he rubbed his forehead, trying to ease the headache that was about to come.

"what does that mean?" he murmured, before tearing his gaze from the window. he carefully sat down, he was now buried in his thoughts again.

"argh. forget it. i'll have to deal with that later." yoongi said, before trying to focus on his work.

keyword: try.

he couldn't. every now and then, he would be interrupted by the same memory, which just irritated him. yoongi wasn't able to focus, which would mean he wouldn't finish his tasks sooner.

this went on for... who knows how long it took him. he just checked his phone only to see that it was 10 past 9 o'clock already. figuring it's time to finish the day and head home, he fixed his things and went down to get his car.

just upon reaching his car, he got a call. funny, who'd call him at this time of the night? there wasn't anyone who cared for him anyway.

the phone screen lit up, and jihyo's name was in view. hold up. jihyo? what's happening and she's the one to call him, and not the other way around?

he picked up the call with no hesitation, but it wasn't jihyo's voice that greeted him. "oh-uh, hello sir." it was minatozaki sana from another department. he somehow knew her in a way, but that doesn't matter right now.

"sana? why do you have jihyo's phone?" he asked, worried at what may have happened to jihyo. "well, um, she must've told you that we're going to celebrate and..." she trailed off.

"and?" yoongi was getting impatient. he needed an answer immediately. "she's fine and she's with me, but i think she drank too much a-and, i've never seen her like this before i-" sana was then cut off by a high-pitched voice, who yoongi identified as drunk jihyo.

"sana unnie! what are you doing? come and have a drink with me~" she said, sana was clearly struggling to push her away. "no, jihyo. the party's already over. please stop it" .

yoongi swore he heard a whine from the other line, but sana's voice stopped him from listening more. "uhm as i was saying, i wanted to know if well, maybe you could-"

"pick her up and drive her home?" he finished the sentence for her. "yeah sure. send me the address and i'll be right there" sana released her breath that she didn't realize she had been holding, before ending the call and sending the address over.

"that lady really is something." he chuckled before driving off to the restaurant.
