In the summer of 1953, a young Elvis walked into sun records studio on 706 union Avenue, in downtown Memphis. He was there to record some songs for his mother.

Financially, sun records was struggling. So when An 18 year old Elvis came in, it was in perfect time.

Although sam phillips noticed Elvis's voice and charisma, as he recorded my Happiness and that's when your Heartaches begin for a $2.80 fee, it would be another year before they would begin to work together.

Marion Keisker, recalled asking Elvis what his singing was like and he replied, "I sing all kinds." And "I don't sound like nobody."
