'Elvis was in his jumpsuit, looking as handsome as ever. Having my trusty little instamatic camera with me, 'Elvis, you and Linda look so great. Would you mind if I got a picture of the two of you?' I asked.
He smiled and said, 'sure, honey, that'd be fine.' I was amazed at how calm he was, considering he was getting ready to perform in front of several thousand fans within the hour. I found out later he was not always this calm before a show.
I posed the two of them in a corner of the room where we had been snacking on some food. And snapped the picture.
I handed the camera to Linda, and she got ready to take a picture of me and Elvis standing in the same spot. Before she snapped the picture, Elvis leaned over to me and said, 'I've got something to tell you.' Without realising he was setting me up, which he loved to do, I leaned close to him. He whispered something so nasty in my ear, and I burst out laughing. I was able to tone it down to a grin just as Linda clicked the picture.
He loved doing things like that.'
