Elvis had actually been special to linda as far back as childhood, When she told her parents that she would one day marry him when she grew up.
Although she never walked down the Aisle with Elvis, she did end up dating him for over four years.
Linda Thompson had just turned 22, when she and her friend Jeanne were invited to meet Elvis one night at the Memphian theater, which he rented out after midnight to screen films.
The moment they laid eyes on each other Elvis and linda just seemed to click. Jeanne recalls.
Linda and Elvis hit it off right away and dated four years before breaking up around Christmas 1976.
