Adrien gets out of the hospital a week later. He sure is glad to be at the beach again! He smiles as soon as he sees Marinette. He has no idea what to say to her! He just knows, he is happy to see her again!
Marinette looks up from the life guard stand and sees Adrien. She smiles at him. She waves too! She thinks, does he see me?
"Hey, Mari!" Adrien calls out.
"Hey, Adrien!" Marinette says.
"How about I take you out for the smoothie later?" Adrien says with a grin.
"Sure, sounds great!" Marinette says.
"Good, its a date then!" Adrien says. He walks away before he can hear her response.
Luka giggles. Lila does as well.
"Hey, what is so funny, you two?" Marinette ask.
" It just you should see how red your face is now!" Lila says.
"Oh, yeah , well your face is red too!" Marinette says.
"It is not!" Lila says.
"Haha, it kinda is Lila!" Luka says.
"Lukie, you mean you agree with her?" Lila says.
Marinette laughs. She thinks, this is so funny! Lila calls him Lukie. I am not sure why , but the whole thing is hiliarious. She walks away. She goes to sit on a towel where she reads a book.
The whole day seems to go by fast! Marinette ends up coming to the rescue of a girl who appears to have little experience when it comes to swimming. The girl was in the deep part of the ocean, she panics when she can not find her way to the shore on her own. Once, back on the sand with the girl, Marinette takes her back to her mother.
After the rescue, Marinette goes for a short swim. After this she goes to the locker room area, changes her clothes, and comes back out. She waits for Adrien on the bridge that leads to the beach. She begins to think he may have forgotten about their smoothie get together, or date as he calls it!
"Hey, Mari! Ready to go!" Adrien says.
"Yes, lets go get the smoothies." Marinette says.
" Sounds good!" Adrien says.
Adrien grabs her hand and she squeezes it. He takes her to a different smoothie place than last time. This time their is no one else around. Not even a few others. He pays for them and hands the strawberry banana one to Marinette. He grins as she enjoys her smoothie.
Adrien continues to hold Marinette's hand as he eats his smoothie. He grins at her. He can tell she seems to enjoy the time spent with him. He only wishes they could do stuff like this more often.
"Adrien?" Marinette says as she finishes the smoothie.
"Yes?" Adrien says.
" The smoothie was great, but I like the company even more." Marinette says.
"Really? You are not just teasing?" Adrien ask.
"I am serious. I like you cinnamon roll." Marinette says with a grin.
"Is this even real, or a dream?" Adrien says.
"It is real, Adrien!" Marinette says.
"Well, in that case could I interest you in a movie tomorrow night?" Adrien ask.
"Hmm, well that depends." Marinette says.
"Depends,on what? Pretty girl!" Adrien says. He laughs when he sees her cheeks turn pink.
"It depends on rather the movie is just an outing, or a date?" Marinette says.
"Oh, which one would it like it to be?" Adrien ask.
"I would much like it to be a date!" Marinette says.
She thinks, wait why did I just blurt that out?
"Well, then, Mari! It is indeed a date!" Adrien says.
"Okay, then I agree to go with you to the movie tomorrow night!" Marinette says.
"Great, so will you be my girlfriend?" Adrien ask. He looks at her in amazement.
"Y-Yes, I will!" Marinette says.
" Mari, are you serious?" Adrien says.
"Yes, I am." Marinette says.
"Good, because I am serious about you!" Adrien says.
"Well, good night, my lady!" Adrien says when they reach the door to her place. It turns out they walked so long they ended up there.
"Good night, my cinnamon roll!" Marinette says. She waves at him before she closes and locks the door.
Adrien smiles and watches as she comes over to the window. He blows a kiss in her direction. He laughs as she blushes once more. He walks back to the place where he stays. He smiles! He can not believe it the woman he loves agrees to another date, and to be his girlfriend! He is so happy! He has a bit of a gallop to his walk as he arrives outside the front door to his place. He goes inside and laughs at how silly he behaves as he closes the door. He locks the door, and that night he sleeps well.
In Adrien's dream,he and Marinette are on a walk by the seaside. It is just the two of them. He kisses her and she kisses him back! He looks at her in amazement as she confesses her love for him. He grins the entire time.
Nearby, are Luka and Lila. Luka decides it is time to give up on Marinette. It is obvious, she loves Adrien! He grins at Lila, and holds her hand. Lila smiles at Luka. These two go off together, and watch the sun set. Lila is so happy now! At last, Lukie is hers for good! She can hardly believe it.
Marinette's POV: I smile as Adrien sees me and waves to me while I stand near my window. He blows me a kiss. I blush like a silly person. It makes me feel all warm, and giddy inside to know that Adrien is my boy! Tonight, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I agreed. I can hardly wait to see him again! Tomorrow,after work he plans to take me out for our second date! The two of us will go to the movies. I have no idea what movie we will even see! I just know I am happy to get to spend time with Adrien! Wow, just think, here I am the girl who promises never to love and yet sure enough I find myself in love with this blonde haired boy who saved my life, and made everything seem better than it has in years. I never knew that I could be like this. I am so in love! Wow! Tomorrow night, can not get here soon enough.
