Adrien and Marinette arrive at the beach together. They part ways for the day, so that Marinette can work and Adrien can surf for a bit. Lila and Luka notice this like everyone else does.
Lila can tell Luka wants Marinette, she decides there must be a way to get them together so she can have Adrien back. Lila discusses her idea with Luka. He smiles and decides, perhaps her idea might work.
Later that day, Adrien is ready to walk Marinette home. Only thing is there is a huge crowd of fan girls around him. He tries to tell them he has no interest in them. None at all, but they simply will not listen to him.
As he argues with one in particular, which is Lila in disguise, she leans in and kisses him right on the mouth! Marinette chooses that moment to come talk to her boyfriend. She sees the other girl with him and gasps. She thinks, Adrien how could you?
Marinette is hurt and runs off. Luka chases after Marinette. He grabs her hand and says, "Come on Marinette! It is obvious he is a loser! You deserve better!"
"I know, but I thought he loved me." Marinette says.
" I am sorry, but he is a fool for letting you go." Luka says.
"I am not interested in you, so leave me alone!" Marinette says.
"Now, see here, Marinette! You will get away that easily ! Besides, you know I am the better man for you!" Luka says. He pulls her towards him, and she tries to push away.
Luka just laughs and kisses her. Marinette thinks, no! Stop! I do not like you, Luka!
Marinette reaches up and slaps Luka clear across the face!
"I told you no!" Marinette says and walks away.
Adrien has freed himself from the grasp of the fan girl, but can not seem to find Marinette anywhere. He sees her as she talks to Luka. He misses the part where Luka kisses her, but he does see her slap him! He thinks, way to go! That is my girl!
Adrien sees Marinette walk off from Luka. He goes to her, and holds her hand. She pulls away.
"Mari, what has gotten into you? " Adrien says.
"Gotten into me, you are the one who kissed some other girl! How could you? " Marinette says.
"Look, it is not what you think, I swear!" Adrien says.
"What do you mean?" Marinette says.
" I am serious. The other girl would not believe me when I tried to tell her no, and she kissed me anyway. I would have told you sooner, but you looked like you had to deal with Luka." Adrien says.
"Adrien, I have to go!" Marinette says. The tears form in her eyes now.
"No, please! Mari, please listen to me!" Adrien says.
"You cheat on me and expect me to believe some lame excuse about it?" Marinette says. She runs off angry and does not stop until she reaches her place.
Adrien follows her there. "Look, if you would just listen, you would know I would never cheat on you! " Adrien says before she can go inside.
"How do I know you are not lying?" Marinette says.
" You mean to much for me to do this." Adrien says.
"It is just a big misunderstanding!" Adrien says. He grabs her wrist and pulls her away from the door before she unlocks it. He stares into her eyes and whispers, "Sweetheart, I do not want to loose you! I need you." He sees her tears fall faster and harder than before. He holds her close and kisses her nose. He kisses her chin,and he gently places on arm around her waist, and the other on her face.
"I love you!" Adrien whispers. He thinks, Mari, please say something.
"Adrien, I can't." Marinette says as he lets her go. She goes inside and slams the door.
Adrien walks away and thinks, so this is it? I love her and she hates me. I have to get her back, but how?
