previously in Chapter 32...  Marinette returns the kiss. "Adrien, I will stay, but you must not try to court me. Please, no more kisses either." Marinette says.

"I can not promise any such thing. I should never have left you! " Adrien says.

  Now, for the current part...

Uncle Fredrick comes out of his study.  He sees Marinette in the foyer area with Adrien.  He smiles when he sees them together.  He can tell this girl means, so much to his nephew.

"Adrien,  do no let her go again!  You hear me?"  Uncle Fredrick says.

"Yes, I hear you and I have no intention of it."  Adrien says.

"Adrien, I mean it you can not kiss me ever again, or date me."  Marinette says.

" Mari, please try to understand.  I  meant everything I said to you then, and I mean it now.  I love you!  I  never could stop."  Adrien says.

"Listen to my nephew, for his love for you runs deeper than most rivers do these days."  Uncle Fredrick remarks.

"What about her?  What about Jacklyn?"   Marinette ask.

"She was someone he spent time for awhile ,because it was my advice to try to help him move on from you.  I see now that it did more harm than good, Miss Marinette."  Uncle Fredrick says.

"Adrien, is this true?"  Marinette says.

"It is.  Believe me I never once meant to ruin what we had, but you broke all correspondence off from me.   You made me think my love for you did not matter." Adrien says with sadness in his voice.  He reaches out and gently holds her hand.

Adrien looks at her as all the old wounds from before come back at once.  He thinks, why her very presence both troubles me and cheers me at the same time.  How can she not see this?  He does not say anything further.  Instead, he gently kisses her hand.

Marinette does not say anything either, but looks at him in surprise.  Could it be she really misjudged him?    She  can see he has pain in his eyes and his voice sounds like it may crack at any moment.  She can tell it is her fault as it always was for she is the one who put the wound in his very soul.

Uncle Fredrick leaves and shakes his head.  He hopes in time that his nephew will find some way to repair the broken relationship with his dear Marinette. He can see that Adrien still loves this girl deeply.  He can also tell these young lady loves his nephew in return.  He can see it in her expression in her eyes, and the sound of her voice.  He could see it before too, prior to the whole break up with Jaclyn in the garden.  Had he been a younger man why he might have fought for a chance at her hand himself.  He could see the lady had the potential to make a fine wife some day.   Here he was way ahead of himself, and could only hope that Marinette and Adrien got back together soon.

Uncle Fredrick's  POV:   If they do not get back together soon, I will have to do a little interference of my own to see to it that are with each other soon.  I do  still have some of my old tricks up my sleeve for these sorts of things.  Hopefully,  I will have no need to use them, but if Marinette is not happily courting him by the end of the week, then I shall have to put my plans into action.  Oh, yes indeed that is all there is to it, now is it not?

Adrien continutes to stare at Marinette.  He has long sense let go of her hand.  He looks at her as if he might cry.  He believes that his dear, Marinette is one strong-willed woman!  He loves her for it, but wishes she could see how much it pains him though.

" I will go tend to the horses."  Adrien says.  He walks  outside towards the direction of the small barn nearby.

"Adrien, wait!  Cinnamon roll, I will come with you!"  Marinette says.

Adrien stands there with his mouth wide open. He feels his jaw drop at the sound of his old nickname on her lips.  He can scare believe what he hears.   He thinks, did she really just say she will go with me to the barn?

"Well, come on now!  Close your mouth, so the flies do not get inside!"  Marinette says.  She laughs.

Adrien just nods his head, but closes his mouth just the same. He walks to the barn in silence.  Marinette follows close behind him.  She too is rather quiet as well.

When they reach the barn  Adrien begins to clean up after the horses.  As he does this, Marinette goes over to the chickens.  She collects a few eggs into the basket nearby and smiles.

Later, Adrien finishes and the two head back inside the cottage.  Once inside Marinette takes the eggs to the kitchen.  Adrien goes to the bathroom and washes his hands.

Uncle Fredrick smiles as Adrien sits in his usual place.  He notices Marinette sits across from him. He thinks, hmm, well will just see about that now, will we not?

"So, how did the chickens give you any trouble?"  Uncle Fredrick ask.

"No, except for this one stubborn hen.  You see she did not want to move, so I had to scoot her over and grab the eggs up in a hurry.  She was not to happy about it I might add and proceeded to peck at me."  Marinette says.

"Well, the horses were calm as usual when I took care of them.  I even gave a little extra grain to the colt out there as it seems rather famished these days."  Adrien says.

"Ok, sounds like to had a splendid time then!"  Uncle Fredrick says and winks at them.

The rest of the dinner conversation, consist of Uncle Fredrick rambles on about all sorts of things while Marinette and Adrien were rather silent.   He did not even seem to mind though.  He was just glad for the company.  It sure beats eating alone and having to talk yourself, he thought.

"There was this one time when Adrien was around six years old and he fell on a rock. He skinned his knee. He came inside all teary eyed and said,  'Uncle  Freddie, I do believe I am about to die!'   Now, I knew he was exaggerating so, I just laughed as I cleaned the wound, and patched it with a fresh band-aid.  His knee healed fast and was as good as new."  Uncle Fredrick says.

Adrien's  POV:  Marinette, I do hope you do not still hold a grudge against me.  I really do have a deep love for you!  I am sure of it!  As sure as I am of the air I breathe!  Why the moment you came in through the door of the cottage, I felt more alive then in that moment than I have in years!   Today, you called me Cinnamon roll, and I admit it shocked me.  It was a word I had not heard in months.  I never thought to hear it again, and yet you said it plain as day.  I fall more in love with you everyday, Mari!   I do!  I have no intention of letting you go again!

Marinette's  POV:  As I sit in silence with Adrien and his Uncle Fredrick, I feel in awe.  It is almost like home in a way.  Sure the setting is different and I have no job to rush off too, but it feels great to be here though.  I only wish the moment could last forever, as I am afraid in the morning, the magic might have worn off  and things will be back as they were before.  With me not speaking to Adrien, and his wounded look on his face will not leave my mind.

Marinette's  POV:  I feel as if all I ever do is hurt him.  How could I have seen this before?   I wish I could say that I will never do it again, but I can not guarantee it.  I mean, I just got used to the fact that I am here in Ireland, and already we are odds with each other once more.  Will there ever be a time we can love each other without any regrets from days past?
